• Food is good.
• Service is worst, you are constantly reminded how much you can eat.

“Let me start with something positive, food is very good. However, when it comes to service you constantly being reminded how much you can fill in a bowl. New rules keep being made that you can only have one rice bowl per table. If you have three people one bowl is not sufficient but that's what you get. There has been incident when person was asked to pay more because the bowl was filled more. The idea of this restaurant is to fill as much as you can in a bowl and have it grilled but that's not the case. I think it is the owner making all the new rules every few weeks. I used to like to go to this restaurant but lately it has gotten worse in service and all these new rules with what you can or cannot do.”

• Waiter, cooks, location, food, ambience, everything.
• Can't think of anything.

“We tried Mongos during a dance convention trip. It was a short walk over and smelled great! We ate around 4:00, there wasn't a wait and we got to sit along the river outside. We opted for the all-you-can-eat price, what a value! When we asked if the kids had an all-you-can-eat price our waiter said he'd have to charge us the adult price, we were ok with that. When he saw that they only went back one more time, didn't waste food & didn't get that much more he only charged us the kids price. Our waiter was very attentive but left us alone while eating. The kids actually ate new things and liked them because they got to compose their own meal and then watch it be cooked for them. The cooks were very nice to the kids and performed grill tricks for them. If we ever go back to J'ville this will be our first stop. We all (18) have been craving MONGOS since returning to GA.”

• Fresh food, you pick out how you want it spiced.
• Cannot name one. Great value, neat place. A no brainier.

“Cannot beat the quality of this food for the money. You pick the meats and veggies along with the seasoned oils and spices you want cooked. We sat outside overlooking the river and it was a beautiful evening. Fed a family of 4, (2 kids) and the bill was under $40.00 with drinks! We will make this place a family favorite and I highly recommend to try it out. Neat place!”

• Food, service and atmosphere make it a great place.
• Not good for handicapped It is up stairs and you have to get your own food.

“It is a good place to bring a first date or meet with a group of people. It is right on the river so you have a good view and the food is great. It is not loud so you can get to know the people you are with. ”

• Everything is very open, this is not the place for a romantic evening.
