“On Saturday, May the 10th 2008 my family and two close friends visited Banana's Bar and Grill located on Kim Kent Drive in Richmond Ky. We arrived at 8:00 pm and were seated right away by a friendly hostess. 5 minutes after being seated a very nice and prompt waitress came to our table to offer us the nights specials and get our drink request. Our waitress was very sweet and had our drinks to us in a matter of minutes. Upon arrival of our drinks she promptly took our dinner order in which I had a Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Fries and a Side Salad, My husband had a Beercheese Burger with fries, our daughter a grilled cheese kids meal with fries and our friends had steak with potatoes and salads. It took her 5 minutes to return to our table with our salads and only another 15 minutes to have the rest of our order to us. All together we had our food in about 25 minutes. The order was properly filled and everything was great. The service was exceptional and the restaurant was very clean. Overall we were very satisfied and will continue to have gatherings at this local hot spot.”

“March 15, 2008, a group of seven, went to the restaurant. The service rates as one of the all time worst. We were promptly seated, given menus, and drink orders were taken. It took 55 minutes (I timed it) from the time we ordered until we received our order. The restaurant was not overly busy. The section that we sat in was not half full. We watched as others (at least 7 parties) arrived after us and received their dinner prior to our party. One person at our table ordered nothing but a chicken salad. It does not take an hour to make a chicken salad! Food taste and quality was average at best. Atmosphere is above average. Over the past three months, I have eaten at the restaurant approximately eight times and the service has been poor on half the occasions. Food quality and taste has diminished over the past few years. If you like an average meal and have lots of time to sit and twidle your thumbs, this is the place for you. Otherwise, look elsewhere. I will never eat here again. Too many other restaurants in the area that have good food and service.”

“Food was prompt and pretty good. Drink specials were awesome, Free Appetizer with 2 entree's over 10dollars so that was a great deal as well.”

“I had an awful experience. On Monday, March 12, 2007, my fiance, Tony; his brother, Luke; and I went to Bananas Bar & Grill. We were seated and given our drinks at 7 p.m. And were told that our server would be right with us. By 7:25 p.m. No one had come to take out order. I asked the hostess if she could send someone over to wait on us because it had been almost half an hour at this point. She replied, "Yea, whatever." I went and took my seat and within a few minutes a server came to take out order. She took our order and gave us our appetizer but it was another 30 minutes before we received our salads! Our foods can it Tony had ordered a 10 oz sirloin. His baked potatoes were larger than his steak! At most it was a 5 oz. Steak. We finally finished our meal and asked for the check. When our check came our orders were all mixed up. To avoid conflict I paid for what was on my ticket despite being wrong (some of which was Luke's when Tony and I were supposed to be on one ticket and his was separate). We were very dissatisfied with our experience.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.

“Wow - what a place! I had heard about a place that the locals like to think of as their own little secrete. The place was Banana's Bar & Grill. When I walked in I was greeted by a friendly staff who made me feel like a local. My server suggested the daily lunch special, it was meatloaf - mashed potatoes and gravy - green beans, and it was delicious! With the fast service I had enough time for a beer. I sat at the bar and talked with some of the regulars. It was delightful. I had a couple of laughs and made a couple of new friends. Well, the secrete is out, Banana's Bar & Grill is a great place. The next time I am in Richmond, KY I will be sure to stop in.” 3 of 3 people found this review helpful.
