“This rest was horrible! Don't know where to begin. On May 26th, 2006, we were walking around Ocean Drive when we walked across Prime time aka Time Cafe. The friendly staff at the door offered breakfast to us, we weren't hungry but they seemed nice so we gave it a shot. That was the worst decision we ever took. We (a party of four) ordered 4 glasses of orange juices, and three all-American breakfast platters. Typically, according to Tanya S. (our server) the breakfast takes ten minutes to prepare. Ours took forty minutes. Being fed up with waiting, and seeing that people after us were being served I decided to get up and cancel the order. We were almost leaving when the manager came towards us and told us the food was arriving. I told her that I didn't care, we were leaving--it was too long to wait for eggs and pancakes. After an extensive argument I told her we weren't eating it or paying it. She responded, "I don't care. You have to pay for it and eat it!" At this point all the staff members were on the terrace, where we were and two police officers had arrived. To avoid more problems we decided in eating the cold, stale breakfast. When our bill came it had included a 18% gratuity. I demanded for it to be removed, a new bill came--not much lower to our amazement. Snapshot of the bill included: $22.00 for orange juice, $30.00 for American platters, $2.75 for a side of bacon. The total somewhere around $59.70. I proved Tanya with $60.00, the problems didn't end there. Amazingly she did not return our change, though it was only $0.30 cents. When I called her demanding for our change she responded, "What? .30 cents..?" though the money didn't matter much, it was more the principle of it. Customer service is very poor at this cafe!” 3 of 3 people found this review helpful.

“Overall sort of mediocre. Coffee was good. Food was...less than good. The real story is that the included a 16% tip (it was only a party of two so they always do this). I would have tipped more but since I saw this I decided not to leave an additional tip. When I go home and check my credit card the waitress had added an additional 15% on top of the included 16%. Needless to say, I'll try to have her fired and my credit card company will be crediting the difference.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Popular Restraurants in Miami
