  • Delicious food, soothing atmosphere, friendly staff.
  • Absolutely nothing.

“As a Bally native I know stories that came from The Bally Hotel, but since the new owners have taken it into a new direction, the hotel has blossomed into a culinary garden. I have never had an unpleasant experience at the Bally Hotel. With that my husband and I decided to have our reception there on July 18, 2009. Nearly one month later all our guests are still talking about the wonderful food, impeccable service and beautiful atmosphere. Some of my brothers and sisters; who know of the hotels past reputations, are still commenting on how beautiful it is on the inside, and what a wonderful job the family has done on rebuilding the class it rightfully deserves. I highly recommend a meal there any time of day. If you have an important event coming up make sure to book with them, they are great to deal with and can work with any budget.”

  • Prompt service with no error.
  • None.

“The hotel was a pleasure to stop into on a long drive. We got prompt service and our food was served to us exactly how we asked. Mid-way through our lunch one of the new owners, a Johnson and Wales Graduate came out to see how everything was and made us feel like our opinion counted. We had nothing to say but good things. We felt at home even though we had never been there before. I recommend the food and spirits at the Bally Hotel.”

  • The hardwood floors and copper colored ceiling tiles. I also enjoyed the low lighting and candle lit tables. .
  • The men's room needs to be seriously renovated!

“The bally hotel has recently come under new ownership and has already undergone many positive changes. The front porch on the first floor has been enclosed in large glass panels creating a warm place for patrons to step in to from the cold. I was told that plans are underway for new dining space to provide large parties an opportunity to have private dinners, separate from the rest of the dining room. They have also in stalled a large glass door between the bar and the dining room, which prevents the smoky air in the bar from floating in to the dining room. Beautiful candle lit centerpieces and low overhead lighting creates a romantic atmosphere for couples who dine in the evening, while large windows create a bright and open space to enjoy the soon to be favorite Sunday breakfast buffet. I can't say enough good things about the new menu. Under old management, the cuisine was the usual bar and casual restaurant fodder. More things were fried than baked, and often, patrons (like myself) left feeling unsatisfied. During my most recent visit, since the change in ownership and menu has occurred, I tried the baked crab dip as an appetizer and my mouth started watering the moment I saw my server carrying It toward my table! It was something truly unique as the creamy dip in the center of the large plate was surrounded by warm, toasted, multi colored tortilla chips. My main course was a perfectly prepared del Monico steak with succulent and savory green beans. The plate was dressed with colorful garnishes, which made me want to photograph It and sell It as artwork! For dessert I had an in credibly rich, generous slice of homemade chocolate cake. Overall, I have to strongly recommend the bally hotel. Anyone seeking fantastic, friendly yet speedy service and an amazingly satisfying meal at a very reasonable price will definitely enjoy eating at this restaurant. The bally hotel is a place I will surely visit time and time again! If the staff or management read this review, I just want to thank them for making It a memorable experience, from the moment I sat down and was greeted with a smile from my server until I walked out the door with a genuinely, satisfied smile on my own face!”
