• The food is fantastic, always a delicious treat.
• Not open on Sunday.

“This is it people! This is the best you have ever tasted. I live in ST. Louis, and have family in the Blythe ville area, so I know all about the Dixie Pig! For the last 30 years, I have enjoyed some of the most delicious BBQ pork sandwiches you have ever tasted in you're life. I always stop in and get at least 2 lbs, to take back with me. And guess what? You can tell them when you order, that you are traveling with it, and they will wrap it up for you. Stop in Blythe ville, go to Dixie Pig, eat BBQ, live long!”

• Floors were clean in the middle of each room.
• Floors were dirty 5 inches from the wall.

“This review is right down the middle, but it will come across more harsh than I mean. I ordered a small BBQ. I looked around at the other 5 or 6 senior couples and I noticed the sauce had a hole in the top and people were putting their finder over the hole to shake the sauce, no one has heard of swine flu in those parts. Then I heard chopping with a cleaver in the kitchen, hum, no pull just chopped, already second class. The BBQ just covered the bun and it looked like someone pressed it flat. Meat had no taste without the sauce.”

• Great food in an old-fashioned small-town atmosphere.
• There is no negative.

“I was born in Blytheville 55 years ago. I fly to Memphis and drive to Missouri to visit my parents each year. The Dixie Pig is a must on each trip. It is the only good barbeque in the world! Nothing can compare. Chopped pig, crispy delicious pieces, tender juicy chunks, absolutely no fatty pieces. The best vinegar based barbeque sauce. None better anywhere! I hope I'm never too old to fly back there!”

• The friendliness of the owner and the food.
• Nothing.

“The Dixie pig is the best restaurant that I have ever been to. Every time my family and I go to Blytheville I beg them to take me there. I couldn't imagine someone that didn't like it.”

• Always willing to sell two or more pounds of meat to take home.
• Could use a sprucing up on the interior

“There is no place like the Dixie Pig in Blytheville, AR. The "pig" sandwiches, salads and plates are ample in quantity and the quality is the highest you can get. The Halsells have been doing this for more than 70 years and they own the market. Others have tried to copy their brand of bar-be-queue and some have come close, but there is only one Dixie Pig! They have some great t-shirts that always get attention and questions and are great free advertisement for my favorite restaurant.”

• Food was great.
• No negatives, love the place.

“Every time I drive down to Arkansas, I stop at the Dixie Pig. In my opinion, it is the best BBQ in Arkansas. I always buy a few bottles of their sauce, and take it with me. Stop in and grab something to eat, you won't regret it. ”
