• Sauces were outstanding.
• Would not give me a glass of ice water!

“Good meat, flies were bad. Sauces were outstanding. The fact that we could not even get a glass of ice water soured the experience.”

“I visited Chubbies recently on a Sunday. My friend and I came across the restaurant by accident while just taking a Sunday drive. We thought it would be a good idea to try some local small place to see how the food would be in the hope that this would turn out to be a favorite destination. Immediately we were struck by the odor of cleaning supplies at the front door and a large bucket of dirty water. Once we seated ourselves at the bar we opened the utensil bag to find 2 of the four utensils rusty. The waitress was the one bright spot of an otherwise shabby interior. She was friendly and eager to make us feel comfortable. She openly boasted about the homemade soup and recommended the baked beans. We ordered both along with jalapeno poppers and a half barbeque chicken. To make a long story short, the food was so bad we asked for a doggy bag and deposited our lunch on the roadside 5 blocks away. One final assault, the bill with tip. I have retold this story to all my friends, especially the ones who frequent the area because I want to save them the same fate. It was a very disappointing experience to an otherwise beautiful day.”

• The BBQ pork will melt in your mouth, especially if you lean toward southern style barbeque.
• I wish it were closer!

“The food is awesome and the pork barbeque the best I have ever had! It is not cheap, but is well worth the money as the portions are very large. Every time we are in the area, we stop in for the BBQ Pork. Is out of this world!”

• Pulled Pork, all sides the chili.
• I live far away from it.

“I've been all over the country, had Q at most of the famous BBQ joints, not 1 comes close to Chubby's, anything less than a 10 for this gem.”

• A spot to hit if you are in a mood for BBQ.
• Hit or miss on the food quality. A miss for me on that day.

“The food was ok. The meat was overcooked so it was somewhat mushy. The sauce and taste were nothing to rave about average at best. The portion was small, relative to the price. There was definitely some tension in the air when I came in. There were a few non-white customers and you could just feel something was not right with the staff.”

• The entire menu, fabulous soups and chilli too!
• It's about an hr. Away from my home.

“I was in Chubb's the night the previous reviewer, who starts off calling two guys drinking beers "Rednecks", was there. She and her Friend were so obnoxious, as to be laughable. If I owned Cubby's I would have done at least what the owner did, and probably more. Cubby's is one of the best BBQ's I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot. The staff is Always VERY friendly, the food always fabulous. She suspects racism, she calls 2 men "Rednecks", who is the racist?”
