“Great place, food is well cooked. Going back for second visit tonight. Food comes fast and furious, this time I will make sure I say yes to everything and get one giant doggy bag.”

“Souza's is definitely a different dining experience. It is little small but the decor is colorful, and its size adds to its energy. The ambiance I would describe as "active" and busy. While my wife and had gone there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, I would not describe it as romantic. However, it certainly is memorable and not only do I not regret going, i would recommend it for someone wanting to try something unique. Children are welcome, but I would not really describe it as family-friendly because the atmosphere is a little mature and the space too tight; if your kids are brats, doesn't go here. It certainly isn't cheap but while it is pricey you will eat well and the concept is worth paying for. The food was overall good to very good; there were a couple of stand-out items like the opening of bean soup, the roast lamb, and the grilled pineapple, but the sirloin tips were really tough and the fillet mignon a tad overdone. They service was average; although the staff were knowledgeable and friendly they seemed to be stretched a little thin; I think they would have done better if they were not understaffed. I recommend reservations, although they didn't give me the kind of table I had asked for when I called; instead of giving me something on the side we ended up in the center where the traffic was. By the way, the place was absolutely freezing. Overall if you go with a desire for an interesting evening and good food, you will enjoy yourself.”

“I found Souza's to be surprisingly good! If you go, be sure to go hungry. One price covers all of your non-alcoholic beverages (including choice of guava, mango or cashew juices!), appetizers, entrees and desserts. Just as you finish one food, your waiter arrives with something new to try. When it's all done, you are invited to have seconds of anything you've enjoyed. Souza's is not just food, it is an experience. The grandchildren were excited to try so many new tastes. I didn't count, but I would guess that we had more than 20 foods to try. Most arrived brandished on skewers. It was fun for my grandchildren (ages 8 & 9), my daughter and son-in-law, as well as me and my wife. The conversation flowed and everyone was eager to defend their favorite food as "the best one so far". ”

“I have visited other Brazilian restaurants but one never like this. The serving of the food was unique having each portion of the meal offered directly at the table. Everything tasted great and the service was good. I felt the servers (besides who I thought was the head server) didn't know to much about the food though so that was a little disappointing. But they were still friendly and attentive. Only reason I would not rate family friendly is it is a long (over an hour) meal. We brought our child and it was hard to keep him amused for so long. Even though the staff was very accommodating to children, I would recommend keeping the kids at home.”

“The food was non-stop, and it was delicious. The service was the best we've ever experienced anywhere in the world. Food items were explained, the meats were freshly prepared, desserts were refreshing. The price was very, very good. We couldn't believe how empty the restaurant was (it was early in the evening), but that is due more to location and the fact that it was Mardi Gras in downtown Burlington and not Carnival! ” 3 of 4 people found this review helpful.

“I had never been to a Brazilian restaurant before and was totally amazed, entertained, well fed and would go back any time I get to that area. The food was overwhelming in volume and taste. The staff explained what each item was and couldn't be more friendly or helpful.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Popular Restraurants in BurlingtonView all restaurants in Burlington
