“Horrible, is the word that comes to mind. My husband and I ordered one of our favorites, the Dragon roll, one of the more expensive rolls. For almost 10 bucks, it was no bigger than the tiny ones you get at a grocery store and the fish eggs tasted rotten. The salad dressing was disgusting. Like a tangy vanilla pudding and the soup was like greasy chicken stock with no flavor. Then we both orders the Shogun meal, with filet mignon and lobster. We love lobster and figured how can they go wrong. First we got the rice, that tasted like old cooking grease, the veggies were drowning in some kind of sauce and the filet was more like an plain strip steak and when we asked for med rare we go med well. The kicker was the lobster. So over cooked, we couldn't bite through the pieces. We complained to the waiter and after coming back to the table with no response, I irritated how bad it was, politely too. He said he told management and the manager didn't have a response. As we left we asked for the manager and when we found him he was standing in the sushi bar area watching basket ball, we explained our concern and he said ok and didn't even apologize. All I can say is don't waste your money.”

“Shogun in Columbus is by far the worst Japanese restaurant I have ever eaten in. The house salad is served with so much salad dressing that is looks more like a soup. The Miso soup is salty. Do not order the salmon skin roll and check any of your menu items with avocado as half of my California roll was made with bruised, mushy avocado.”

“When I moved to Pensacola a few years ago, this was the place I missed the most. I was thrilled when I found out the owner was opening one in Mobile. I have not been yet, but I will. All I want to know is, how is that ginger sauce made?”

“We were going to this restaurant for many years. The food is great tasting and very addicting. The problem with this restaurant is it's unsanitary conditions such as old cooking grease dripping from the vent hoods over the grill, there is food under the grills that never gets cleaned. The grills themselves never get completely cleaned. The high chairs are always dirty and sticky. My wife has gotten food poisening there three times. I guess we were gluttons for punishment, the food is oh, so good. But until they clean it up we are never going back again. I have reported this restaurant to the health department, to no avail. All the regular customers that go there know that this place is filthy but like us they keep going back for the great tasting food. I am hoping that someone who cares will read this and make a difference. There is no way a health inspector can look at this dinning room and pass this resaurant with a good concience..” 27 of 31 people found this review helpful.Popular Restraurants in ColumbusView all restaurants in Columbus
