“This is the first time I have ever had a meal so poor that I felt compelled to write a negative review about it. Seaport Cafe was a total tourist trap. We got a fairly simple lunch - taco salad, chicken wrap, iced tea and diet coke and it honestly tasted like a bad high school cafeteria. The service was non existent.”

“This is a really cheesy tourist trap place. Besides the food being horrid, they falsified my credit card slip to make a $5.00 tip into a $50.00 tip! I'm still fighting it out with my bank who's giving me a hard time because I didn't keep the receipt. The fudging of the tip amount was done after bunch of crooks!”

“It was a nightmare! The food was disgusting. I order a ceaser salad. Whoever heard of eggs in Caesar salad? The onion rings taste like White castle frozen. Then they billed me three times on my credit card. I ate there on the 11th of July and they charged my card two other times after, on the 25th and 29th.”

“This place was horrible! The food was disgusting and it was not cheap. The service was even worse! The waiter had an attitude and never came to check on us. Why should he work when the gratuity was automatically added into the bill? When we asked to speak to the manager he lied and said he was not there. When the manager finally did come over he gave us another song and dance about our bill. And to top it all off, probably to get back at us for complaining, they ran our bill through 2 times and we got charged twice for that horrible meal. My advice, stay away from that place. I guess they probably only stay in business because they have one time tourists as their clientele.”

“Our surly waiter reluctantly waited on us with no greeting. Took his time to serve us and while we waited for a refill of our water glasses we watched him stand around for 20 minutes. We asked to speak to a manager who he said was not in - but he was. Finally when we talked to the boss about the atrocious service we wanted to have him remove the automatically added in gratuity he said it would talk 2-3 days to make this change. The food was barely edible as well. How this place survives is a miracle.”

“My gut feeling told me not to go in here but hunger pains took over. They offer plastic cutlery, major attitudes and paper plates with high prices. Never again.”

“Oh my gosh! It was awful. It is worse than school cafeteria food. I would have rather eaten at Long John Silvers. Be aware: stay away!”

“We should have walked away when the plastic cutlery was handed out and menus were simply thrown onto the table at which we assumed the staff wanted us to sit! Unfortunately we didn't. We ordered seafood linguine and chicken penne and this was the worst food I have ever had the misfortune to taste. The food was obviously not fresh and simply microwave ready meals or something akin to this. I was served with one piece of what I think was supposed to be garlic bread, but it was so stale that I had to leave it. My partner only had two prawns with shells on to make it look like the meal was fresh, but the rest was rubbery processed fish. The meals were so bad that we could not eat them and so probably had about ten mouthfuls. The only reason that they have survived must be because of all the 1 off tourists that flock to south seaport because nobody would go back a second time!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Popular Restraurants in New York CityView all restaurants in New York City
