  • Nothing.
  • The uncaring staff.

“My 92 yr. old mother with dementia insists we always go to the shanty as she remembers Sand Point in Titusviille, from years ago, which was fairly decent. LS is always a huge disappointment, though I forced to there at least 2x a month, the staff never recognizes us, even though the man and woman by the register/check-in desk have been there for years. We always go at lunch time and always sit in the upper level, as my mother can't negotiate the steps to the lower level. For my mom's special birthday, we had 5 people - the waitress acted put out with us - just for being there - we have never gotten to know any waitress, because the staff turnover is so high. The renovation a few years ago was an improvement, but overall the place is a dump, I guess geared toward the unsuspecting tourist. I am so sick of spending my time and money at a place that cares so little for it's local clientele. The food was mediocre, but at least the staff and atmosphere were nice.”

  • I can't think of anything.
  • Worst food of the trip.

“Ate on 5/08. Took a weeks vacation in Florida, and this was the worst food. Even worst than IHOP. I had the tilapia which was over cooked had what were supposed to be scallops on top with a hollandaise sauce. The scallops could have been anything, as they had no taste. The hollandaise was a sickly gray in color and the texture of oatmeal. The fries tasted like the had been fried in the same grease as was used for fish.”

  • Excellent service, reasonable price, relaxed atmosphere, great food.
  • Side vegetable dish has too much butter.

“5 of my friends from California dined with me at jack bakers last night. I am most impressed by the friendliness and courtesy of our 2 servers. The food was great and the price is better than most seafood restaurants Iżve been to. I will definitely a returning guest.”

  • You always do a great job with fresh fish.
  • Female bartender made the weakest drinks my wife and I have ever had. Awful.

“We always enjoy eating at the lobster shanty in cocoa beach. I think they do a particularly good job with fresh fish, perhaps not as well with shellfish. If you enjoy an alcoholic beverage before or with your dinner, I suggest you stick to beer or wine. My wife and I conferred after our dinner and agreed that they serve the most watery liquor drink on the east coast. We thought perhaps the female bartender who took our order forgot to add any alcohol whatsoever. The only disappointment in an otherwise enjoyable experience. ”
