“I noticed that the review I read gave E G Nicks service a rating of 5. I think that could be the biggest flaw with this otherwise very nice restaurant. My husband and I use to go there fairly often, as it is within walking distance from our home. The food was always good. The seating is comfy whether you are at a table or a booth, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Our favorite place to sit has always by the window, so we can do a little people watching while we dine. We stopped going there because we got so tired of the lousy service. We have had OK servers, and lousy servers. Overall, we stopped going as we felt the wait staff left a great deal to be desired. They were slow, and seemed unconcerned with whether we were taken care of. We usually had to try and wave them over to get refills of coffee, or ask for things we needed. One night recently, we decided to give it another go, and I was pleasantly surprised. I had to re-evaluate my service rating. We were delighted to have an outstanding server. My husband and I agreed that she should train the other servers. She was more than efficient and attentive. She was absolutely charming, and for the first time my husband and I were inspired to give more than the obligatory 20%. In my opinion, a good meal is expected from a restaurant establishment, but a great meal depends on the service. After all, there is plenty of good food to be had from take out restaurants. When we go out for a sit down meal, we walk out full and smiling, with a vow to return.”

“I have been to EG Nicks in Downtown Plymouth many times. The visit I had with my family at EG Nicks this time was again a very pleasant one. I was at EG Nicks on a Saturday Night the restaurant didn't have a line out the door but it was almost full. Our waiter was able to suggest at least one item from each category and giving us ample decisions. The food is priced very well making EG Nicks suitable for all occasions. Our Waiter was a young man and he seemed to be very good at handling the tables that he had, which was 4 maybe 5) and he was able to provide us with the attention that we desired. The salads were very large and could possibly have been 2/3rds the size they were but the entrees were very good, I had the Ribs and my wife had the Mahi Mahi, which was on there specials card. The only thing left to be desired was a desert that would have done the rest of the meal justice.”

“I enjoy the location of the restaurant. You can sit near the window and watch people on the street coming in and out of stores. I have been there three times. On one occasion, we had a young, nice looking waiter who could not answer any questions we had about the foods on the menu. He didn't even attempt to say he would ask the cook, manager, etc. for us. Another time, a different waiter seemed disinterested in being there and didn't smile. He brought me the wrong vegetables I had ordered and when I asked about them he said he must have written it down wrong. He was able however to answer questions we had about items on the menu. The food tasted good. The salmon is excellent.” Popular Restraurants in PlymouthView all restaurants in Plymouth
