• Great authentic Italian food with ambience and a fabulous wine list.
• It's too far from Australia .

“Having been introduced to the famous Charlie Gitto's in St Louis by an Italian American yet and Mammas by a local born businessman, I thought the bar had been set pretty high. Mamma Lombardis is right up there and would be right at home in great city in the world. My hometown Perth in Western Australia has a large Italian community who there and across Australia have had a huge and positive influence on our cuisine. And as a world traveller I reckon I know my onions, or garlic as the case may be. I'm coming back in a couple of months to finish some business on the Island, but were I not and just going as usual to Manhattan I would make time for a trip out to Holbrook for a meal here. I grieve the inability to graze the complete menu over time. The only fault was not the quality and authenticity of the food but, as seems to be the American tradition, the size of the portions. The fault lay in the feeling of guilt at leaving such delicious food unfinished.”

• Nothing.
• For apricey Italian rest they need better cooks.

“Food is overpriced the red sauce on the chicken cacciatore is like dishwater they need to really get good cooks in the kitchen. There pasta never has enough sauce on it even when you ask for extra I will find a better Italian restaurant.”

• The portions are huge.
• Very noisy atmosphere and the waiters made us feel rushed. The restaurant doesn't employee waitresses.

“This restaurant has average Italian fare. Nothing extraordinary. We thought it was over-rated.”
