• Pittsburgh style grilling at very high temperatures seals in fantastic flavor of prime aged prime meat.
• Atmosphere is a little dark for reading the menu (minor annoyance).

“I have eaten at great steakhouses around the country and in Europe. I have never had a better tasting steak than the aged prime bone in rib eye than at chophouse 47. The other five people had the tenderloin and also said it was the best steak they had eaten in years. All eat regularly at the prime steakhouses in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Chicago, Orlando and new York. This is a jewel located in Greenville, SC. The salads and vegetables were also high quality, but the steak is superb.”

• The appetizers were equally fantastic and they have an extensive wine room that you can actually dine in if you choose.
• Nothing!

“I am 48 years old, spent 10 years traveling Europe, lived in the Caribbean for 7 years, have traveled the US on business trips for about the last 20 years and Chophouse 47 had the BEST steak I have ever been served. The atmosphere and decor is an elegant step back in time and the service was top notch. The only complaint I have is that there is no Chophouse 47 in Cincinnati! If you are a steak lover visiting anywhere near Greenville/Spartanburg don't miss out on this place.”
