  • Great breakfast and lunch, fresh and delightful.
  • Can't think of anything.

“It is in a great location, North Beach, especially if you want to enjoy good food without the tourist crowd. The restaurant was very clean and presentable. The service was friendly and efficient, nice people. I was impressed with the quality of the food. My wife and I ordered varied dishes, banana walnut pancakes, side of eggs, bacon cheeseburger with fries, etc. The breakfast was scrumptious, light, very fresh. The bacon cheeseburger was moist, cooked just right, very tasty. The prices were very moderate and budget friendly. Since we travel to SF 4 or 5 times during the year, we will make Curly's our place to eat.”

  • Great breakfast dishes, some Japanese lunch dishes on menu.
  • Service was "ok".

“Curly's is a pleasant little diner-type restaurant. It is on Powell St, one block away from Columbus Ave, so it's a bit off the tourist radar. In front, there's this wacky wooden sign of the restaurant's founder, whose nickname is Curly. The service was so-so but it was a busy time when I was there. The breakfast dishes are very good. The pancakes and French toast were very yummy and the next table's omelet and sausage and eggs looked good, too. Seems like someplace you'd visit every Sunday for breakfast for years and years. Inexpensive. I heard that Curly's has been in the neighborhood for over 30 years so they must be doing something right!”
