  • Food is out of this world; near Killington ski area; chef owned.
  • No real negatives; yet I prefer the place when it is not super busy during ski season.

“We love coming to this restaurant. Such a charming place with a great atmosphere! The food is top notch. I have been coming to this restaurant for over ten years now, and each time has been absolutely wonderful. I wish there were more restaurants such as this one back close to where I live in connect it. I have never received a bad meal here! German food at its finest with also many fine European/American dishes also. The deserts are also very special, made by the chef of the restaurant who supposedly worked in some of the finest restaurants in Austria/Europe before opening his restaurant here some like 25 years ago. Entries range from filet mignon to fresh salmon, to goulash to sauerbraten, eggplant procencale, swordfish, wiener snitzel, cordon bleu, venison medallions, to bake stuffed shrimp, bratwurst, raspberry duck, so-so bucco, vegetarian platter, and others. Each time I visit I try something different. Also, for our children (when they were younger), there is pasta with vegetables and chicken fingers. Appetizers consist of bratwurst, calamari, crab cakes ( which are some of the best I have ever tasted), stuffed mushrooms, herring, escargot, and shrimp cocktail, and shrimp bisque, and onion soup to die for! Deserts are black forest tort, sacher torte, krem Carmel, blueberry deep dish, and others. If you want an excellent meal in a charming/relaxing atmosphere with prices that are not outrageous, I would definitely visit this place. There is also an excellent selection of German beers and an extensive wine list. ”
