“What a gem of a place! Hubby and I first went here when we were on our way to Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. It's located right across the street from a fabulous hardware store (Ridgefield Hardware) and we always stop here for brunch/lunch/breakfast when we're in the area. You'd think that they'd only offer regular American burgers and stuff like that, but oh no! Their crab and artichoke omelet is to die for, not to mention their vegetable Panini. The salads are huge and delicious. This is good food, and not at all typical of small cafes. We haven't had a bad meal yet. The decor is fun and unusual, and they support local musicians by having gigs there at times. This is not a large cafe. There are 4 booths, a few single/double tables, and one large one. So far we haven't had to wait. One rainy day not too long ago during Spring Break, my daughter and I were the only ones there for lunch. Today when a friend and I ate there, we had a bit of a wait, till our food came, but believe me, it's worth it. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because on rainy winter days it's pretty dark inside. If you're the one facing the street, even on a sunny day it's hard to see your companion's face. I would appreciate better lighting. If you like searching out out of the ordinary places to eat, then Pioneer Street Cafe is the place for you. I wouldn't hesitate bringing anyone here. It's a fun place to be and the food is fabulous!” Popular Restraurants in Ridgefield
