“We had not been to Rig, in a few years. The steak for 2 was no longer on the menu which was disappointing. We ordered the Rib Eye, with baked potato If we like the food we tip the cook he got a tip The steak was cooked exactly as ask, the baked potato was soft and was not hard anywhere, you can eat skin and all. The butter was not likely a good brand but was OK and the salad bar was very decent. I had unsweetened tea and the wife had sweet. Now maybe because of the time, we are not sure. She gave us a big glass filled and then she delivered two big pitchers of tea and left them on the table one of each. A couple of times she would come over and fill our glasses and came back several times just to check on us.”

“Cheap, average, blue collar restaurant that has not changed in 30 years. Steaks are so-so and the Talapia was better than expected. The baked potato served needed to be sent back as it dried out beyond help. The salad bar is full, basic salad fixings and it looses points for using imitation cheese and fake bacon bits. If you are looking for a cheap meal, with average quality, and you want quantity over quality, then The Rig is for you.”

“Whenever I am on the road, I like to check out the local eateries and the Rig Restaurant and Saloon fits that bill very well. You can't miss the oil rig that is in the middle of the parking lot, and is clearly visible from of the freeway. When you enter the Rig, you find yourself in the "Hall of Texas", facing high on the far end of the hall, the map of Texas painted on a huge long-horn skin that is painted with bright colorful scenes that depict the history of the state. The food: the steak was juicy and to my liking, we were offered several choices of potatoes or rice, the salad bar was average but the items were fresh and crisp. One member of our group is vegetarian, even though there were no specific vegetarian items on the menu, the waitress was very cooperative and arranged for a special plate of colorful cooked veggies, that was in addition to the salad bar. Nobody from our group left hungry or dissatisfied. To end our evening we stopped by the adjoining "saloon" where some of us participated in the "Karaoke" sing a long. ” 4 of 4 people found this review helpful.Popular Restraurants in Fort WorthView all restaurants in Fort Worth
