“Village Pizza in Jersey City is one of the most beautiful Italian places. The chef and servers are great, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is awesome. I would love to go again, especially after the last dinner we had there that was prepared by the chef of the restaurant. I would recommend this place to any friend.”

• It's not just pizza; many Italian entrees to choose from and the atmosphere are casual.
• There are uncomfortable tables they offer you first; you must refuse them to be seated at the more comfortable booths.

“This restaurant is okay in a pinch but you could do better. Sometimes it is okay but my last dinner there I ordered the shrimp scampi and it was served in a terrible sauce that was all vinegar, no flavor at all of butter or garlic. Neither the waitress nor the manager came by to ask about the meal. When the waitress finally came by to see if we wanted the check, we told her that the sauce was no good; that it tasted too much of vinegar. She said she could see that something was wrong since I did not eat very much of it and that she would check with the kitchen to find out what went wrong. But she just came back with the check and no explanation at all. Since we were not asked if we would like coffee or dessert we just paid the check and left even though we would have liked some dessert. We paid for the poor meal and service and left quickly because we felt unwelcome. You might have better luck here, but I would not recommend this place since there are other restaurants nearby that offer better service.”
