“I had the misfortune to listen to a local radio add about the Chincoteague Inn. The ad stated that you could dock your boat at the Inn and enjoy waterfront dining. What a mistake. Some of our children were down to our home in Greenbackville, Va, just across the bay from Chincoteague. We decided that it would be a fun boat trip and an opportunity for our guests to see the local scenery. It was Saturday August 8th and arrived at around 12 noon. We docked our boat and were seated at a table that was just a bit sticky. We ordered our beverages, meals and hush puppies for an appetizer. The hush puppies arrived and they were hot and good. Its unfortunate that I hadnt the foresight to leave at the high point of the day. It wasnt a complicated order: 2 soft crab sandwiches, 4 crab patty sandwiches and a chicken sandwich. When the order arrived the soft crab that my wife and I ordered were stone cold which to me is akin to eating a cold soft boiled egg. Also the 4 crab patties were just lukewarm. The chicken sandwich was nowhere to be found. We sent our soft crabs back so they could be heated up. The nuked soft shell crabs returned hot and now they were truly soft with no crunch at all. Still no chicken sandwich. Of course the lackadaisical waitress blamed it on the kitchen. The long and short of our experience was that it took us an hour and a half to get a bill that had an 18% gratuity already included in it. This explained the total lack of customer service. My advice is to pack a lunch next time and have a picnic on an Island.”

“If you like horrible food and (if possible) even worse service, this is the place for you. The food reminded me of processed slop you'd find in a cafeteria, frozen and quick fried at ridiculous prices. Absolutely no atmosphere. Horrible experience!”
