“Overpriced. When you walk in the door, you'll here the restaurant yell Fish-On! If you're a fisherman, you'll understand this. Your wallet has just been hooked. You can get better Crabcakes at Long John Silvers. Service was very slow considering their fare was fresh from the freezer.”

“We went for the first time tonight. The staff was good, nice friendly. The stuffed shrimp was very good. Other than that the other five of us were very disappointed. Crab cakes reminded me of fish cakes sold at Murry Steaks 20 years ago. Crab legs seemed to have been cooked hours earlier. Being a local and taking friends from out of town to dinner, we wanted really good sea food. There is very good sea food available at the two other restaurants in town. Stay away from this one.”

“Today I took my family to Happy Clam on a whim while visiting Colonial Beach on Veteran's day. A nice couple we met on the beach recommended the Happy Clam as family oriented and reasonably priced. I guess that means any town with beach in it can bilk out of towners with overpriced food. I ordered the cajun catfish broiled which arrived with virtual no seasoning. I am accustomed to more authentic flavors and even told her to make it extra spicy when I ordered. Anyway, the service was very attentive (we were the only family there) and it was great place to enjoy the sunset but the check came to over $56.00 for 2 adult catfish dinners and 2 kids' meals! The Happy Clam had a very good selection of mostly homemade desserts but we cut our losses and left. I was told this place was more reasonably priced then the Docksider which I guess it outrageous!”

“Happy Clam is a relaxing and romantic restaurant located RIGHT on the water. The food was delicious and no one was rushing us. The menu is fantastic as far as seafood goes. The view couldn't get any better! I know it is a restaurant that will be around for a long time.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Popular Restraurants in Colonial BeachView all restaurants in Colonial Beach
