  • The quality and quantity of the food are, overall, excellent.
  • Newer employees need more supervision. Adjust recipe for cin. Apples.

“My husband and I previewed this restaurant for our sons rehearsal dinner and were very pleased with the food and our service. (The only item I didn't care for was the cinnamon apples too sweet. Famous Daves are better) then, our son and fiancé' dined there and they were also very happy with the food, the service, but particularly the host who worked with them to set up a menu, etc. The night of the rehearsal dinner, may 18, 2007, we were treated very well. The food and the service were wonderful. We had out of state family members (from both families) and they all raved about the food. It is a little pricey, but the quality and quantity are worth it. We also went there for my birthday and although the food was as good as we had experienced on the previous occasions, the server was obviously a trainee. We all highly recommend this restaurant.”

  • Very bad experience. Staff, food, prices and disturbingly long wait for drinks and food.
  • Everything!

“I used to like coming to your restaurant. My daughter whom lives in mo. Knew that and she recommended to her 3 brothers and our other friends and family that I should celebrate my birthday at maxis. I was not only highly disappointed with the service. (The waitress was rude) flat rude! And slow. It took over a 1/2 hour to get our drinks alone. Dinner was over an hour. There was a diabetic in our party that had to wait so long for his food that he was starting to go into a diabetic spin. When I asked for our ticket. She said I can't give that to you now. I have to figure out all the tickets and then give it to you. I told her what the problem was. (She was extremely rude and insensitive to the problem) my daughter in law is 5 months along. And had to wait so long for her food that she got sick waiting. And when the food did come, which was a steak. She couldn't eat it. I got my food¿s ordered lobster and steak. The steak was cold. The lobster was good. But again, in waiting. By the time I got the food. It was a mute point. My daughter drove all the way in from Springfield, mo. Extremely hungry. Didn¿t want to spoil dinner by eating fast food. Wanting to eat with the rest of us. Her food was cold and bad. If you were debuting your restaurant based on that experience, I would never ever send anyone there. My family wanted so to please me by going there. It cost them a fortune. Your prices are outlandish. I asked if I could set a chair at the end of the table so I could see and visit with all of my children and their families. The waitress was short and Kurt. Emphatically the answer was "no¿ you¿d be in the way! I don't know about the rest of the serving staff. But she certainly needs social etiquette lessons. How rude! We spent allot of money there the night of march 16th, '07.and certainly didn't get anything close to what we paid for! In my opinion. I think some restitution should be made. ”

  • The onion rings.
  • The wait time. Kid unfriendly.

“In my recent experience, I personally would not recommend maxi¿s to anyone with children. I felt very cramped and high chairs were a burden with the amount of space in the area we were in. Our waitress was polite but slow. We waited 10 minutes + for refills which is a small reflection on the amount of time it took to receive our food. We had to fill our daughter and nephew up on crackers in order to keep them from throwing a fit during our hour long wait for our food. Granted, we did have a part of around 12 but an hour was very excessive. When it came to the food, the onion rings were pretty good! The rest was rather disappointing, my husband said the steak was flavorless and I actually didn't get to touch my food since I am pregnant and was starving so I had to stuff myself on onion rings and bread and therefore no longer hungry once my food came. I had a steak sandwich which came on two plain pieces of white bread and no condiments. Overall, a very unsatisfactory performance.”

  • Food was pretty good.
  • Service was slow and inadequate.

“March 16, 2007, fifteen of us went to celebrate a birthday at maxis. Reservation was for 7pm. We were seated promptly. It was 7:25 before I saw a beverage. People who chose to drink water were left with the short glasses, rather than be provided with regular-sized beverage glasses. Their wine selection was limited and when they had a particular kind; it was of an inferior quality. It was sometime after that before our order was taken. We were finally served food at about 8:25pm. In the meantime, even those of us with regular-sized beverage glasses were empty, let alone the poor folks with the short glasses. They apparently thought one server sufficient to care for 15 people at a time. The checks were messed up and had to be redone more than once. The manager, was more interested in making excuses after the meal, than dealing with the issue at hand. I'll tell you what I told him, next time we'll go back to the olive garden.”
