• Atmosphere, and food were nice.
• Dishonest billing practices!

“Overall the Restaurant was good, food was great, atmosphere was very pleasant However that's where it stopped, We were sold on their "evening special" which was a 3-course meal by the Host, when we sat down we indicated to the waiter that we would like the special and they brought several different choices. And we choose, then ate a great meal, that's when we received the bill we were astounded, the "special" we asked for was not the "special" we received. The bill was over double what was expected, it was like a "bait and switch" and was the most gross practice I have ever seen. When we brought this up to the host / manager, he laughed....... Too bad for the service, because the food and atmosphere were quite pleasant If you're going to eat here make sure you know what you're paying for, either it was a dishonest practice or the waiter didn't understand English!”

“Don't waste your money, Service and food were lousy. Rendezvous adds 18% gratuity so service is not a priority. Food was just as bad. As with most Ocean Dr places they offer a nice sidewalk atmosphere and dishes on display of their specials. Be fore warned they are very very expensive and its a bait and switch in most cases.



When looking at the menu at Rendezvous on the Beach, most entrees range between $25-$30. When they bring out the Specials they forgot to tell you the prices.



I ordered the lobster tail and my friend ordered the rib eye special. BIG MISTAKE



My lobster tail was ok, nothing great but the rice they served with it was lumpy and certainly up to par to be placed on a plate with the lobster tail .



Worse my friends dish was undercooked. He ordered it medium rare, by the time he got half way through it was raw!



Trying to grab the waiters attention was another feat!



To add insult to injury, when the bill came, my dish was $68 and my friends was $56 for a raw steak. We were shocked to see these prices and no one warned us of this. Maybe we should have asked but the fact was the food was not worth anything close to this. We would have minded it the quality of food and service was even to par.



I did find it ironic, all the staff who were so pleasant when we arrived to pull us in to sit at Rendezvous disappeared and no one was even around or bothered to ask how everything was.



The tip being included didn't make the waiter or other staff go the extra step.



Sights walking by are great as most places are in Miami South Beach, but avoid Rendezvous on the Beach AT ALL COSTS or else IT WILL COST YOU DEARLY!

• Ambiance, outside dining.
• Poor service, bad food.

“I was very disappointed with this restaurant, the service was slow. The waitress was practically rude. The food was awful. Some items were overcooked. Then to pay a mandatory tip, this just added insult to injury. I recommend Johnny Rockets right next door. In defense of this restaurant, it was over 3 years ago I went, I hope they cleaned up their act, I will never go there again but I liked the ambiance.”
