“My family visited the Peerless almost every week when I was growing up in Johnson City. The food was fantastic and the service was second to none. Today the food and service are not that great, in fact both are about average and not what you expect for the price you pay at the Peerless. I hate to see the Peerless go down in quality and customer service as it has a wonderfully rich history in East Tennessee. I'll most likely return now and then but its not a great value and you can never tell how the food is going to be or if your server is going to be friendly and helpful or just in a hurry to turn your table. They can do better, they have in the past and I hope they soon get their act together. I miss the "old Peerless."” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“We travel a lot and we went to the Peerless in Knoxville, TN based on the front desk suggestion at the hotel we were staying. We had a seat by the window looking into their open kitchen. One organized place and a great show. We knew that we would probably enjoy or experience. I had their NY strip steak (it was cooked perfectly and taste excellent) and my wife had the seafood w/ a pan fried lobster tail which was very fresh tasting and also delicious. We had their famous Grecian salad which was wonderful with creamy feta dressing and their vingerette! I also tried the lyonnaise potatoes which where also terrific and went great with my steak. We talked to the owner on the way out and he told us that the family had been in business for almost 70 years. I told him the only complaint was that there was not a Peerless in Maryland! ( he laughed) ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“- we had 5 people. I ate there for the first time in Knoxville. Wow the restaurant is very neat. We had prime rib-best I have eaten in a long time. My wife had the Flight. It was very tender and cooked on the nose. My kids had chicken and my sister had the seafood, which she said was great. My server was friendly and well trained and told us they had banquet rooms and private rooms which we thought was unique to a restaurant. We will be back to this restaurant soon. I took the Baklava home logo- it was to die for too.” 2 of 3 people found this review helpful.Popular Restraurants in Johnson CityView all restaurants in Johnson City
