• It over looks the ocean.
• Maryland style crab cakes.

“I had read the reviews so I took a chance. We love good Mary land crab cakes and the waitress who was very nice told us they were great. One reviewer said they were from Maryland and these were the best crab cakes south of Maryland. I'm sorry but I to be from Baltimore and they don't come close to being "ok crab cakes". They did not smell anything like crab nor taste like crab. As a matter of fact my wife and I both agreed they could be white fish and put into a patty, but they didn't even taste like fish, they had no taste. Don't be fooled if you have had "real crab cakes" in the past. The best place in the area so far has been Billys tavern as far as Maryland style and taste of crab cakes.”

• Location, view, friendly waitresses, congenial owner & esp., the food!
• Didn't get to taste the crème Brule.

“On the way back to Texas from a Miami cruise, my grandchildren, daughter, her boyfriend, myself took a beach scenic route up flap. We stopped in a little hole-in-the-wall place called the turtle shack in Flagler beach. Cute, great location because we could view the ocean from inside the restaurant, it was crowded but room was made for us, owner, Arthur Kline, was extremely congenial & we were waited on by a nice, friendly waitress. Our menu choices were the hamburgers. Boy! Were they big! Great for any traveling Texan. The meat was cooked to everyone's choice; the buns were soft enough to bite into this thick, juicy burger. We loved it! I highly recommend ya'll to try it for yourselves. I'll be back again to try they're other menu specialties; I was so full I couldn't find room for dessert. Keep it up, good food, (great chef), friendly staff & owner.”

“If you are looking for a genuine place to have your lunch or dinner in a welcoming and unpretentious atmosphere; turtle hack is the place to go! Under new management, the cafe retain the feeling of "popping-in-for-lunch-and-have-good-chat". And the food is great! I mean, if you ever tasted the burgers at turtle shack, you will never go to McDonalds again. The expression on burgers hits a new dimension...”
