• Intimate, quiet.
• Food mediocre, service poor, unappealing décor.

“A colleague took me here for lunch in October since neither of us had been there since the restaurant changed hands. We are both Italian. I ordered meat and cheese ravioli and a house salad. There were only a few tables of patrons that afternoon. I was looking forward to it. What I got was the worst Italian food I can recall eating at a restaurant. The ravioli was mediocre and overcooked, with little tomato sauce on it. I thought I could salvage the meal with the salad, but whatever white creamy house dressing was put on it was absolutely tasteless. Although there were few people there, we did not get good wait service, and had to wait for condiments, e.g., parmesan cheese, hot peppers, etc. Did not get to comment about the salad or the dish because I never did see the waitress until the end of the meal. Both my colleague and I commented on the look of the restaurant -- it looked like retro Las Vegas. I would not return to this restaurant. ”

• Very convenient alternate to eating at the airport. Great food.
• None. Fully met our expectations based on the other 2 reviews.

“Had a couple of hours before getting my son to the airport and found Stan and Jen's (from Hoston) favorable reviews so decided to check it out. I live in the Bay Area so am pretty familiar with the usual "hot spots". Excellent food (tasty and plentiful), service, atmosphere (very pleasant and spacious but probably not an appropriate choice for an "intimate" romantic evening), plentiful on-street metered parking till 6pm w. handicap parking off-street; All in all, well up to SF standards. We were the first ones in a little after 5pm on a Tuesday evening but several other parties had showed up by the time we left 90 minutes later. Though not enough to fill the place. About $20-30/head excl. wine, tax and tip.”

• Mushy lasagna

“I had the lasagna. The flavor was good, but the pasta was overcooked and the overall consistency was too mushy.”

• The food was amazing and reasonably priced.
• The service was not the best.

“Walking in, I thought we had passed through a time-travel portal into an upscale restaurant from the 60s. There was a wall of pictures showing the owner with numerous movie stars and presidents from several different eras. All of the waiters looked as if they had been here for several years and were very professional, yet not in an eager to please way like the young folks working in the new, trendy restaurants. They came around occasionally, but our glasses reached empty several times.

I ordered the cannelloni, and the waiter informed me it was made from scratch, so it would take longer. That was fine, since we were not in a hurry. When the food arrived, it was delicious. The best Italian food we have ever eaten! We will definitely go back on any future trips to San Francisco.”

• Fantastic authentic atmosphere and fair. Surprised to find this great place tucked away in South San Francisco.
• Not one.

“My wife and I were in town for a quick 4 day trip and happened by this eatery by chance. We love eating out and have dined in great restaurants all over the US and Europe. Food is our hobby and we love to try different places. Bertolucci's caused us to change our usual pattern of a different restaurant every night. We found it on the second day of our trip and eat there twice more before we headed home.



The atmosphere, the staff and the authentic Italian food were all superb. We tell all of our friends about it if we hear they are going out to San Francisco and they always return with raves.”
