“We went in and received terrible service. The waitress walked by and mentioned getting me another water 3 times throughout my meal, I did not receive another water until after I had finished my meal, then she joked about forgetting it. The food is good but nothing special.”

“We found this restaurant when we moved to the west side of the village 4 years ago. It is a relatively unknown gem! The decor may be a little outdated, but the food and service is outstanding. We eat there quite frequently (mainly weekends)and have never had a bad meal. My husband and I are notorious meat eaters when we go out and the quality here far surpasses any other restaurant in Mchenry or Lake County, not that they don't have other fresh offerings, friends and visiting family we have taken have also eaten seafood (fresh and delicious) roasted duck and I think my mother even had liver once. My husband says that the sign of a good restaurant is always getting fresh cooked fries with your entree, I am not sure about that, but the fresh Broccoli as a side is always cooked well. I am not a huge dessert eater and after one of Danny's meals there's not usually much space left, but the majority is home made by Danny and is scrumptious, as are the old world Brandy ice's. Try it once and you'll keep going back.”

“Our waitress, from the moment we walked into the restaurant we were treated like second class citizens. We were seated and waitress did nothing but call us kids. This was our first time at the Old Mill we were coming in to have a nice dinner at what looked like a nice restaurant. We were severally disappointed. We paid for our drinks and let waitress know we did not appreciate being treated like children and left. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is younger then 50, unless you like being treated like you are 5.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“Located in a quiet, natural setting. The small stream next to the restaurant is nice to view from the small platform the restaurant has built. Nice lighting. Good food. (Primarily seafood). The dining experience was very enjoyable.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Popular Restraurants in Wonder Lake
