  • Excellent food, cooked exactly the way you request.
  • NA.

“It was very easy to find and very convenient for our hotel on Times Square. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. Our appetizers were delicious, (the largest portion of Prosciutto and Melon I have ever seen) and our steaks were fantastic and cooked exactly the way we requested. The side orders were easily large enough for two to share. All waiters were very attentive and kept our wine glasses topped up. We both thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The only negative comment I have is that the greeter spent more time talking to her friend who was passing by than greeting potential customers.”

  • Great food.
  • Passing by kitchen/Narrow way to seating area.

“I wasn't too happy to pass thru the kitchen area to be seated but once there was very nice. Food was great, service very good. Wish they had the homemade steak sauce for sale! Cheesecake should have a little topping but it had wonderful flavor. We would eat there again.”

“We too didn't have the best experience while at BROADWAY JOES steak house. The reason we went in the first place was because we had a coupon for a 15 % discount on the meal and were attending a Broadway show that night so we though it would be a reasonable choice. The first bad experience we had with this restaurant was the online reservations. We called them to confirm the reservation (that were put in 6 months in advance mind you) and they stated 'no one ever checks are online Reservations so no we don't have you listed but can fit you in" Why have that option online available to customers if they don't even check on them?? So anyone who is looking to eat at this place, don't bother making online reservations. When we arrived The place was very crowded and uncomfortable. They were doing some renovating in the downstairs so we were forced to sit in the upstairs which was already crowded with people. The food was very expensive, and wasn't that good. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad, which cost near 25.00 and it was awful. It was loaded with parmesan cheese and had little dressing . The chicken was also dry. The mixed drinks were almost 12.00 a piece, and tasted off. The one other thing that bothered me about this place was the customer service. It was hard to tell who are waiter was because of all the people waiting on us. It was very Unorganized. Overall I would have to say I wouldn't go back here or recommend this place to anyone.”

  • The rolls were good.
  • Everything! Waiter spilled meat juice in my friend's lap.

“Returned to Broadway Joe's again this year.(2006) Wish we hadn't! There are many fine Steakhouses in Manhattan. This is NOT one of them. We would NOT make the same mistake twice.”

  • Great location.
  • Overly cramped and lack of taste.

“It wasn't the best steak I've ever had. No seasonings were used so it was just a huge piece of meat. Good quality though and very large portions. The side items were less than desirable. The service was very friendly but I was never quite sure who are server was. It was also very loud (not the restaurants fault) and overly crowded (even for New York). We had a buy one get one free coupon which is why we went there. If not for that, I would probably not go back again. ”

  • Dessert was OK. Location is great.
  • Food portions and quality are horrendous. Prices are extremely high. Service is appalling.

“During a trip to NYC, my husband and I decided to take our children to Broadway Joe's on the recommendation of a friend - SOME friend. The restaurant is grungy and needs renovations instantly. The bathrooms are located in the kitchen basically, so if you have to use them, be prepared to get nasty looks from the kitchen staff as you walk through the kitchen.

There was no children's menu offered to us. We were told they didn't have one and that we could just order smaller portions from the adult menu for a 25% discount. Prices are absurd. My son and daughter both ended up ordering the chopped steak - $18 normally, so their "kids meal" came to about $13 each. I ordered the fillet mignon at an astoundingly high price and ended up with round steak. I do know the difference, so I was perturbed. Portions were skimpy and certainly not worth the price we paid.

Our waiter was awful. He disappeared for more than 30 minutes, never refilled drinks, never checked to see how the meal was, we had to flag down other waiters to get any service and even they seemed disgruntled to have to bother with us.

Dessert was the highlight, though still not better than what I can make myself.

Our bill for 4 including the meals, shared dessert, 2 sodas, 1 water, and 1 beer came to $138. We left feeling hungry, so after we walked around Times Square, we went back to our hotel, picked up a take-out menu for an Indian place across the street and paid $15 for two of their appetizer platters. Those stuffed us!

Don't waste your money at Broadway Joe's!!”
