“The only reason me & my husband went was because we had gift certificates to use. The first time we went, the service was as terrible as was the food. I don't know what kind of spices they use. Maybe they just make the recipe up as they go to cook which isn't bad if it tastes good at the end but it doesn't. The second time we went was just a few days ago the service was wonderful but the food was no better than the first time. My husband ordered mussels with fries thinking a side order of fries, but they put them on top of the mussels. Strange!”

“Worst meal I have ever had and the prices are crazy. Trying to turn a pig's ear into a silk purse perfectly describes this place. Waitress was rude, brought the wrong food to our table 3 times and then got upset when we told her to forget the meals we would pay for our drinks and be done with it. Later found out from another waitress that this person is the one in charge. Will never go back not even if the meal is free.”

“Terrible, bad & never again! The food is over priced. The 7 dollar soup was just flour and milk. The salad was wilted and warm, my lobster was tiny and over cooked. The chef was outright rude! Never ever again! The only good thing about the dinner was sitting outside feeding the ducks and fish which they had no old bread for. Bad all the way around.”

“In the last decade, theyve done a good job when I've been there and the fact that the restaurant is right on the water (the Hudson River)and you can feed the fish your bread scraps and sit out on the deck and watch the boats, has always been a plus. The meal we had May, (18th or 19th) 2009 was without a doubt the worst meal I've had in a restaurant, except for one other time when I ordered lobster at a different restaurant and it had such bad freezer burn, I couldn't eat it. The salads were 8 or 9 green leaves, a tomato and a bit of dressing. I ordered calamari fritters (expecting chunks of calamari deep fried) and something with the texture of hush puppies, over fried, and near burnt was delivered. They were sent back to the kitchen. The soup came to us with a thick scum on the top, as if it had been sitting under warming lights for several hours and was barely lukewarm. We ordered lobster bisque and a rusty, red soup was delivered that tasted nothing like lobster bisque and a lot like Campbells tomato soup with some other kind of food processor beaten vegetable. I sent it back to the kitchen. The beet salad was very disappointing. Beets were stringy and I believe they were likely dehydrated beets, rehydrate an hour before the meal - chewy and flavorless. My daughter ordered a filet mignon that had a strip of gristle down the middle. It was mediocre for a filet mignon. The restaurant was understaffed with two wait staff for tables inside and out. Service seemed slow although Im sure they were working as fast as they could. We saw other tables leaving food and my daughter heard one woman saying, as she pushed her salad around on her plate with her fork, that her chicken Caesar salad was "Okay, nothing great."”

“The menu is very limited with exotic names of items and no explanation of what they are. The food was not that good. The service was terrible and the cost was worse for what we got! It used to be a nice place to eat but my family and I will not go there again.”

“Harbor's was great! Awesome service, outstanding food and it's right on the Hudson River. Terrific views and the staff was so friendly and not to mention good looking! Definitely a fun spot for friends to hang to grab dinner then to stay after for drinks to party all night. Definitely one of the area's premier spots.”

“There was no pool, odd for a holiday inn, we had to go next door to the crown plaza, their hot tub was so low on water that the jet more or less blew the water straight out, made it almost impossible to enjoy the hot tub, the pool was almost to cold to swim in. Our toilet would not flush in the morning; I called maintenance, and then had to call again because no one showed up. Not in any hurry to go back to this hotel.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“Went on Saturday niter, slept 29th. Went from a decent experience to total crap. The service was awful. One person In our party felt the shrimp cocktail tasted like chicken. By the way, the first appetizer they delivered to him was steamed clams that he never ordered. We told numerous wait staff about It and It took over 10 minutes before someone finally removed them. Shortly thereafter they brought his correct appetizer, the chicken tasting shrimp cocktail. After this we did not see our waitress for almost 40 minutes. She finally showed herself after we returned to entrees to the kitchen as we were about to leave. Her response to us was "Im f*caking sorry." She actually cursed, and seemed to be angry at us, the customer for having the nerve to have a problem with the service. She just stormed away. We requested the owner and he never came. So we called the restaurant on the phone to speak to the owner. The second person to come to the phone was our waitress. She said he was not there. Another staff person told us he was there. He (mike) finally came out and made excuses saying they are short staffed and only had one chef. Problem Is, not only the cursing, but also no one came to us after appetizers to tell us about the delays. By the way, we learned the waitress we had Is also the restaurant's general manager. Needless to say, we will not be back.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“Very limited menu. Food was incorrect and tasted terrible. Service was terrible. Have you ever heard of a restaurant that does not serve a baked potato with a steak? The surf ant turf does not come with a lobster tail. This was a great restaurant when I was there last year. I don't know what happened. I will never eat there again.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“I called and spoke with a young lady, and I informed her this was our anniversary and was wondering if they could do a little something just to make it a little special for my wife of 32 years. I was informed that could be arranged. We went this past Sunday and as we walked in, the waitress said sit anyplace. Well dinner could have been a little better. So, as we finished our dinner I was expecting our little something. Nothing at all, I mean nothing happened, and the place was not that crowded. After we paid our bill, I spoke with the owner and he said he was sorry. Lot good that does me now I informed him. Then he stated, come to the bar and have a drink. At least, the very least, "a cupcake with a candle".” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“Great dinning experience. The food, the outside deck, the service. The river views! Alex (owner & manager) came by to introduce himself & to check on our service /dishes. All very good. The Fried Calamari was very tender & cooked to perfection!. The house salad was excellent & quite large for 2 people. The steak was perfect & so was the red snapper. Dessert was also delicious. We had wine by the glass ( pinot grigio & merlot) good quality for house wine. All and all a big 10! We will come back & recommend to our friends.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“We picked this restaurant for its location and on a recommendation. We sat outside on a gorgeous evening. Our drink order came promptly and what a great apple martini they make! Our appetizers consisted of the softest and tastiest calamari, buffalo chicken wings to die for and the spinach artichoke dip that topped all. For the main course, we had surf and turf, rack of lamb, salmon and veal. We were very pleased with all our choices. The waiters were extremely friendly. We ordered a variety of desserts which I understand quite a few are homemade on the premises. All in all we had a great dinner, it was worth the drive and we look forward to coming up by boat which is another great feature at mariner's; docking right there. And walking to your table.
