“I never fill out these surveys and I consider myself (and am considered by my closest acquaintances) to be an incredibly harsh food critic. I almost never say a restaurant is excellent. Mark Joseph is an excellent restaurant. It is a New York steak secret. The beef is exceptional, the wine list is expansive yet manageable, the side dishes are delightful and the service is superb. This has become one of my top three New York City restaurants. As far as atmosphere, it is simple but the low light is perfect for a relaxing dinner with co-workers or for a date. This place is a real treat.”
