• Excellent value, good food & lots of choices, family atmosphere.
• Service is a little hurried at times, especially when they are busy.

“In reading the reviews, it is amazing that we are talking about the same restaurant. This is a cozy little family restaurant that has kept its prices affordable, allows you to BYOB, does not have a lingering service staff but they are friendly enough, on busy days it gets a little hectic but overall the value is amazing for North Dallas. We have never had a bad meal there (in response to the one reviewer, we have never had a frozen dinner there) and it is our first choice if we want to go out and not spend an arm and a leg. I, for one, hope they do not change too much.”

• Both the Chinese and Vietnamese dishes are awesome!
• Occasionally they close for a wedding reception in the restaurant so it's disappointing when you want to eat there and find them closed on a Saturday night. The food is still so good though, it's worth it to go back again!

“My husband, son, and I have been eating there for quite a few years. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is always nice, and the staffs are always very friendly. There are so many varieties of food you will never get bored of going there. If you don't know what you want to eat, the friendly staff will give you some great ideas. This is my favorite place to eat in the DFW area. Many Chinese and Vietnamese people eat there so they must agree this is a great place to eat.”

• Everything, the food and service is nothing less than a great expectation.
• Nothing.

“This place has been open since 1986 and has continued to present amazing food. My parents went there when they were younger and it's become my favorite place to get Chinese. I would recommend everyone to try this place out if they're looking for good food.”

• One good beef dish.
• Iodine smelling & tasting shrimp; not enough flavor to s & s chicken; dumplings entirely too big and too pink inside.

“We have eaten at Caravelle twice. We are still trying to find out what the attraction could possibly be. Very disappointed in the Sweet and Sour Chicken - meat good quality but the sauce was too bland and the coating on the chicken was nothing special. The pan-fried dumplings are too huge and entirely too pink inside (they swear they are cooked); I found this unappetizing. We ordered those prawns with the cheese/salt coating and they smelled/tasted strongly of iodine. Ate one each and stopped. Honestly, I just don't get it. I can't recall what we ordered the time before but we were equally disappointed. Know there must be a reason Asian people eat here. Dishes were recommended by the waitress so you'd think you'd be safe with her suggestions. Spent a good deal of time going over the menu with her. Someone suggested pork chops in the reviews. Is this a joke? What am I missing here? Won't be going back. Sorry.”

• I loved the laid back atmosphere.
• I have nothing negative to say.

“I love Cafe Amore! It's so laid back and authentic, and the servers are extremely friendly. The food is also amazing!”
