• Pepper steak.
• Crowded during lunch hour during weekdays.

“Located in an old, remodeled steakhouse - it really doesn't Feel like a Chinese Food place. The generous portions (especially lunch buffets) and great taste will help you forget about the decor though.”

• Wait staff spread, too thin.

“Not a bad place to dine - but certainly not worth the solid 10 star rating the previous reviewer provided. Portion size is moderate, food quality is good, service was average, price was good on specials, a little high on other offerings. Recommended - but not amazing.”

“This is a five star seafood restaurant for sure. We have eaten at some of the best seafood restaurants in the Galveston, Corpus Christi, South Padre Island and Rockport areas and none can compare to Bayside Restaurant in Port Lavaca. The shrimp and oysters are absolutely the freshest and will melt in your mouth. The seafood portions are generous and very reasonable. Discovered this place by accident while on a fishing trip to nearby Seadrift. No better fried shrimp and oysters anywhere.”
