- Liked it at first in general sense.
- At this place the customer does NOT come first.
“We started coming here after moving to Yakima. Liked the coffee's, but then 2 times in a row were given the wrong thing, as the teenage girls who seem to run, it gossiped among themselves, one telling us how sure she was, she made it right, but she did not. The time before that a different girl simply gave me the wrong drink but we didn't have time to go back. Then today, granted a small thing. But I looked at our card before handing it to her, then she said no there were only 8 punches, when I know for certain there were nine. Small thing. But enough for me to throw the card out the window and take them off my list. Bad management. little girls running the place smiling. Smiles that do not put the customer first.”

“We waited 15 minutes before we were seated. The girl came to take our drink order, we were informed they were out of 7-up. It was early, between 5PM and 5:30PM. Should they have been out that early? We told her we were ready to give her our order and she said she would be right back. We waited another 15 minutes and we called her to our table, she said she would get her order book and be right back, by this time we had waited 50 minutes and decided we were leaving. As we went to leave we told her we would not be back to their restaurant. She didn't even apologize. We have been going to this place for years and the last year the service has gotten steadily worse.”

- Excellent food.
- Friday and Saturday waiting time, but is a good sign of good food.
“This is my husband's and my favorite restaurant in Yakima. There are not a ton of non-chain restaurants to pick from, so it is great to have a quality restaurant to go to. Prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent. The fresh menu always has in-season delicious choices. The atmosphere is both romantic and classy, yet relaxed enough you can wear jeans. The owner is always around with a smile and a helping hand to his employees. Even if you don't love Italian, I urge you to try Zesta Cucina.”

New Thai Restaurant

- Relatively inexpensive.
- Inedible food that tastes nothing like actual dishes.
“I was really excited to try New Thai when I arrived in Yakima. I just moved here about two months ago from Maryland/DC, where we had many excellent Thai restaurants. I assumed I would be served an equally delicious meal. I went with my sister, who was visiting from Seattle, and our two babies. The staff was friendly enough (although they seated us far away from the other patrons, even though the tots were quiet). We ordered Phad Thai and Phad See Eew, both classic dishes that I would think are hard to screw up. My dish, Phad See Eew, was so-so, at least edible. It just wasn't what Phad See Eew normally is. My sister's Phad Thai was absolutely revolting! It tasted nothing like the usual peanut-y dish, instead it tasted like it had turkey gravy on it. It was just disgusting. We couldn't even eat it. If you are searching for Thai, do not go to New Thai. Go to Ellensburg to Sugar Thai, or even go to Richland's Columbia Mall Food Court and eat at Thai Go. You'd be much, much better off.”
