  • Very clean, fast service, overall great food.
  • Have regular salsa, hot salsa, but I like mine flaming hot.

“La Casa del Lago is a Mexican restaurant. Very authentic, made fresh - not out of a can. Great salsa and chips. Fajitas, enchiladas, and tacos are all fantastic. Also have steaks and seafood.”

  • Great food beer is great no complaints.
  • Wait staff to loud but only once.

“Eat here every time I pass through new Braunfels. My grandparents were German and so am I closest thing I can get to German food. And the fried potatoes a must have along with the German potato salad. I could go on and on. I'll be back again.”

  • Service was good.
  • Restrooms were messy.

“I had dinner at Adobe Verde last weekend when we were in town visiting family. Our servers name was Clint and he did a fantastic job. They had live music going which made it hard to hear, but the musician was fantastic. I had the Adobe Tacos which were a spicy blend of Fajita and a Quemada Sauce, and my wife had the Chicken Nachos. The food was quick and both plates came out hot. Gruene is a great place to spend the weekend and I would suggest stopping in Adobe Verde.”

“Veggies watered down with no flavor, surly meat cutter, took too long to replenish dishes when they run out at buffet.”

  • Now not so good.

“Used to be the best, now has fallen to about below little sleazers - last two times I ate there, toppings scarce, pineapple on ham & pineapple was tasteless and fibrous, like it had sat out for a long while. Big Country, go back to the way you used to make pizza!”
