- Excellent service, food tasty and delivered promptly.
- None on this trip.
“Just reopened Monday April 13, 2009 after 2007 hurricane closed it down. We had an excellent meal today. The restaurant is, of course, new inside with new decor, and very inviting to dine in. The staff was very attentive, and the main course arrived quickly. We've dined here pre-2007 hurricanes and are glad to find Tuffy's again serving fine food.”

- Choice of several meats on steam table and two selections given.
- Always so much food on plate that never enough room left for dessert.
“Tuffy's food is delicious since the Choate's took over the ownership. The menu choices are a good variety, the wait staff is pleasant, and the cost is reasonable. After they added the lunch buffet/steam table, I have been back several times. The hardest part is making up my mind among all the choices they have. At lunch I'm able to get in and out quickly without rushing through a meal and I always have so much food leftover that I need a to-go box for a second meal. Thursday's rotisserie day is my favorite, and I've gotten in the habit of going early that day. The only negative is they aren't open on Mondays.”

- The new owners are Christians and it shows.
- It was a little warm probably because it was busy.
“We went on Tuesday and tried all you can eat shrimp and gumbo. Get ready they start you with 18 lg shrimp and a cup of gumbo and the server was ready to give me more. The live easy to the ear music was wonderful.”

- The new owners have done a great job at making this a place where I want to eat again!
- If you don't get there early, you may have to wait for a seat.
“Tuffy's was recently bought by Van and Josette Choate who owned the Cajun Eatery off of I-10 in Orange. The restaurant has been cleaned and the food is great. There is a new gift shop that has a lot of unique items. We had great service and the crawfish were huge. By the way, the chicken fried steak was bigger than my plate.”

“We went on a Tuesday which is supposed to be all you can eat shrimp night. Well they only brought us 6 shrimp a piece each time we requested shrimp. Plus they took their time bringing the food to our table. I made the mistake of ordering a chocolate peanut butter pie that was way too rich and the chocolate over powered the peanut butter. We will never eat there again.”
