- Generous portions and great entertainment.
- Poor lighting and poor waitress service.
“The food was great, as well as the cook's entertainment. The problem I saw were, it was a little hard to read the menu because of the lighting. We did not get our drinks and when the cook came to our table, he noticed it and told our waitress. Even then, she still did not get them, so my husband had to ask another waitress for them. The soup was bland - very little flavor but the meals were excellent and generous portions. Great entertainment on the cook's part!”

Choo Chai Thai Cuisine

- Food was decent.
- Service and health safety is a huge concern.
“Decent food but I was very disappointed with the service. We went there for out lunch hour. It took roughly 1 hour 15 minutes to get our food with two orders being wrong and one person not even getting his order. When the owner was questioned about the wrong orders and the missing order he responded with vulgar word and explained he didn't need to put up with us "vulgar word". When you enter the restaurant your first thought will be how this place can pass the health inspection. The condition of the kitchen and prep area is really a concern. To make a long story short the experience was a very unfavorable both from a service perspective and from healthy perspective. I discourage anyone I know from going to eat at Choo Chai.”

- Good food; fun Teppanyaki experience.
- None.
“I've been to Teppanyaki restaurants throughout the US, but this one was the best. The food was very good. The chef was entertaining as well. The coffee was the hottest I have ever had. It was great!”

- Dinner series is great for a special occasion.
- Expensive. Never have the opportunity to get an item twice.
“We have been to both the luncheon buffet and the dinner series. The food is above average and the service is among the best we have received anywhere. The restaurant is owned by Texas Tech University and is basically run by the students who plan and cook the meals. The menu is never the same at the buffet and the dinner series consists of a meal planned around a particular theme or cuisine. It is served on Tuesday through Thursday, and then another team will be in charge of the menu the next week. It is an enjoyable experience. The food is good, and the service is excellent. It is rather expensive, but when we have eaten there we have been pleased.”
