- Country atmosphere.
- Rude service. So-so food, over priced.
“After all the hype, we were so let down after driving all the way to Buffalo Gap. The food was not at all what we expected after reading the reviews (I have to think that some owners and friends must be writing most of these!). The waitress was almost rude, definitely not West Texas friendly, which really was upsetting. It was a Friday at lunch time and we were sat in the back were it was hot and hardly any air conditioner. The salad was a joke, limp lettuce and tomatoes. The steak was just okay and the chicken was dry and almost like microwaved. I really wanted to brag about a restaurant in Buffalo Gap where we all use to party about 35 years ago, but I have to be honest to others and tell you it's way over priced and not that big a deal and food is just so-so at best.”

- Texas-friendly service and good meat.
- Nothing. I liked it.
“Texas Monthly says this is the third-best steak-house in Texas. Well. I was passing through Abilene and I thought I would try it out. It is very good. I had a 10 oz prime rib that was excellent. and the zucchini was extra special. The Perini Ranch is south of Abilene in Buffalo Gap. it is out of the way but I was glad I went. The clean country air and the "Texas-friendly" attitude go a long way to giving this place a special feel. The food is good and the price is OK. I would go back.”

- Buffalo Gap is quaint.
- Perrine's seem to be full of itself.
“Way over-rated. Six adults arrived at 6:30 and ordered and enjoyed drinks, appetizers, salads, entries, and desserts. We had a total of 2 wines and 2 beers. Our bill was $240.00. We were appropriate at all times. Amazingly, the young hostess came to our table and asked us to leave at 8:30 PM. There were multiple open tables except for the uncleared dishes, no customers waiting that we could see and no cars arriving in the parking lot as we left. We have no idea what they were trying to do. But I can assure you this, none of us will return. Their only reason given was "Rules."”
