- All you can eat sushi, stir fry, sashimi, and deserts!
- Not a lot of help offered with food-description unless you ask for it.
“All you can eat sushi and sashimi. Need I say more! Ok, the place is not the fanciest but the atmosphere is very nice. The service is buffet style but they will bring your drink, soup-pot (if you ask for it), miso-soup (again you have to ask), and ice cream. You have to ask if you want the soup-pot which you create by yourself. Otherwise you get your table and help yourself to anything you want. The cooks and chefs have always been very nice to me but again you have to ask them if you need anything. Last time I went about 3-months ago it cost about $25.00 a plate for dinner. Lunch was a little cheaper at about $18.00 but a few less options to eat. Oh and they do have a good assortment of beer and wine too.”

Chaucer's Steak & Sushi

- The sushi was good. The drinks were good.
- The obviously discrimination was awful.
“To whom it may concern: I recently encountered an extremely disturbing display of discrimination when visiting Chaucer's Sushi and Grill in Addison. I was allowed entry for dinner in my dress t-shirt, Perry Ellis jeans, and dress tennis. My date and I enjoyed sushi and drinks for about 45 minutes. This was in light of my friend, who was wearing the supposedly unacceptable hoodie and jeans combination! As the night progressed, we noticed more and more people wearing hoodies and other supposedly unacceptable combinations of clothing. After spotting several people wearing huge baggy t-shirts, my date decided it was time for conversation with the manager. She pointed out several people and several flaws in his enforcement of the rather strict dress code. We had the displeasure of clearing our tabs with a somewhat shocked bartender, then exiting the building surely never to return.”

- Great music, cozy atmosphere, good service.
- Overcharged my credit card, even though I gave a 20%+ tip.
“I was in Memphis for the first time on Saturday, 4/12/08. I used my credit card to pay for drinks. Instead of charging my card for $40, it was charged for $49. I called and was given a refund, however, caveat emptor.”

“Do not go here for the steak. Save some money and go to Golden Corral, Sirloin Stockade or even Outback. There isn't a lot on the menu anyway. I had to ask the server if he had given me the dinner menu. The $5 salad consists of only two different types of leaves, one of which was alarmingly reminiscent of dandelion. The $19 ribeye is probably "select" quality these days, but in my day it might have been ground for hamburger, but more likely dog food. I do have to say the menu choices are relatively reasonably priced, at least at first glance, until you get to the steak and lobster at $60. Having never been to this place before I wasn't willing to gamble that much on the quality of that entree. Given that I had the next most costly item, the $19 ribeye, I dare say I made a wise decision. Maybe the chicken entrees are better, I don't know, and I sure won't be going back to give one a try. There are too many other decent places in the neighborhood. I won't even go into the 18+% tip that are automatically added to the bill, in spite of the lackluster service. Never mind that they would like to charge $5 to park in an empty lot, that they keep that way by the strategic placement of orange cones. Restaurant-wise, this place is a pathetic imposter.”
