  • The setting is well designed and well tended. The little garden adds charm and the staff are friendly without being tiresome.
  • Its rural location includes insects. If you are overly sensitive that may be a problem. I just shoo them away.

“During summer there are few pleasures I enjoy more than breakfast at an outdoor cafe with my wife and friends. The food menu at Bogus Creek includes waffles and omelets that rank with the finest I have ever had. A Belgian waffle topped with fresh strawberries and fresh whipped cream is a delight. The bakery, which is on the other side of the open air seating area, has onion bread, cranberry bread and wonderful pastries. We breakfast there several times each summer and browse local store. My favorite, Crocus Oak, is a treasure trove of the unusual right across the street.”
