“We ate at the Olive Garden in Waco, Texas last week. Service was absolutely horrible. We waited almost an hour for a table (there were several sitting empty). When we were seated, it took almost 25 minutes for the waiter to come to our table. Another 10 minutes to get drinks and then 30 more to get our food. The manager came out to check on us and recognized several in our party as frequent visitors. Nothing was done as far as compensating us for the horrible service and amount of time we had to wait. We thought that at least those the manager recognized would receive something for their time. We will not eat there again. Management-wake up! You lost 10 customers that night which will translate into at least 100 being lost due to bad recommendation (business model lose 10 for every 1 bad experience).”

- Tea.
- Hard rolls, nasty greasy chicken.
“Bush's chicken that's all I ever here. So I was in the Waco area on sat for the center victory bowl held at Baylor. Saw a Bush's chicken sign and decided to try the place. We ordered the 3 piece chicken with one side, drink and two peppers. $17.03 for only 2 dinners. The chicken was not fresh tasted very greasy no seasoning at all. Waco, TX you don't even know what good fried chicken is. The tea was good, but the chicken was a hot mess.”

Johnny Carinos Italian Kitchen

from Marlin, TX
Overall Rating: 9
- Menu shows creativity, especially for a chain.
- Noise level--although that is the patrons, not the restaurant. Texans yell.
“Carino's has good food and good service. The menu is varied enough to please almost everyone and the food is prepared well. The restaurant can accommodate large groups as well as twosomes. It is not a romantic, candle on the table restaurant, but in an Italian restaurant deprived area, one takes what one can get.”

Buzzard Billys

from Marlin TX
Overall Rating: 7
Food:[8] •

Atmosphere:[6]
- Cajun popcorn appetizer, Rasta pasta entree, chicken tsarina entree are very good.
- Servers tend to congregate around the computer and chat among themselves. Manager needs to get a handle on his staff.
“Buzzard Billy's Swamp Shack (formerly Buzzard Billy's Armadillo Bar & Grillo) is now just off I-35. It moved from the University Parks location. The food is good and the service was adequate. Try to get a booth or table with a view of the river, or eat on the deck, weather permitting. Their version of Cajun food is good, if not terribly authentic.”
