“Probably the worst restaurant in America, at least in all of the places I have visited. I ordered a martini and the bartender put McCormick in a glass with 1 olive! Then proceeded to argue with me when I sent it back as undrinkable a martini has vermouth, and McCormick is like $10 for a whole handle! The queso is literally canned cheese and rotten tomatoes, and the fries are those frozen crimped fries you can buy at Sack and Save or see at the local soup kitchen. This maybe the cheapest restaurant on the River Walk but if you want to save money I plead with you to simply go to McDonald's and eat outside on the street. It will be a far better experience. So if there is an award for America's worst restaurant please let me know so that I can nominate this place.”

Durty Nelly's Irish Pub

- Mood, music, energy, lots to see, location.
- It was pretty small, so was the washroom.
“We had a good time there one afternoon. It was packed, and we had to wait to get in, with a ton of ND football fans Oct 30th/09, all having a REALLY good time. Being from Canada, I didn't know all the Notre Dame songs, but I think I picked up on a few songs by the end. Like any place, it was a fun time because of the people, and both the staff and the customers were in a great mood, so the mood rubbed off quickly and we had a fun time. We were there for the sites sounds and beer, we did not eat there. Per the other reviews, it was a piano bar playing requests, mostly party songs. Similar to what you'd get at How l At The Moon. If you hate that, don't go, if you haven't tried it, I'd it can be fun don't feel like doing the 25 club seen. Personally I prefer to limit the amount of Irish songs to a few a night, that's just me, if you want Irish songs, this isn't your bar. If you are into a good mix of happy people partying, singing, dancing, give it a try, if you hate is; 20 more bars just down the Riverwalk. We did, others that were alright, Waxy's, How l at The Moon had lot of costumes. Pat-O-Brians was OK, but service was a little poor by comparison. Coyote Ugly was dead, but it was Friday at 6PM.”

Benny's Bagels

- Very good flavor and texture.
- Odd and irregular shapes.
“It's tough finding a good bagel in San Antonio. Benny's comes closest; they're tough and chewy and definitely hand made as a good bagel should be. The only complaint is that the hand-makers must not be very experienced because their shape is very irregular; hard to slice for the toaster. They're still 'way better than the soft no-character offerings elsewhere. Maybe Tooties can get some good shapers there.”

- Service.
- Food and atmosphere.
“The cook has been in San Antonio for long, needs to go to South Louisiana and eat some real Cajun food. As far as atmosphere goes, there are a number of restaurants in San Antonio with more Cajun atmosphere.”

- Liked the counter for single folks.
- A little noisy. No chips for breakfast. Have to pay for them.
“First time and definitely not the last. Noticed the parking lot full. Then went back on a Saturday, it was even more packed. Good indicator. The food was reasonably priced. It was delicious. The place seems to be packed with regulars they all seemed to know the waitresses by name. The owner was busing tables. He was friendly. You do however have to wait in line at the register to pay.”
