• Leaving this restaurant to never return.
• Bad food, bad service, high costs.

“I can't remember a worse restaurant experience in recent history than the Glass House in Walterboro, SC. I ordered the Prime Rib Special. My wife had the Salmon Special. We waited forever for our dinners to come out. Dinner was okay, but very salty. My prime rib was inedible. I ordered a medium and it came out so well done that it was hard to cut. Pretty gutsy charging $18 for an Entree in SC that does not even include a salad. So, of course no prime rib left, so no replacement steak. I probably got the last piece of boot sole foisted off on me. Also, now they had no more rice. The waitress seemed to think this was all pretty normal and was diligently trying to shirk any responsibility. I ate what I could then we left. I think this restaurant is overpriced and poor quality both in terms of food and service.”

• It was convenient to the motel next door and we could walk there.
• Nothing.

“We have eaten here several times on our way to Florida and have always enjoyed our meal. The price is right, and the food is good. I had fried oysters which were delicious. They have a bar on the premises and they also offer an early bird dinner.”

• Bathroom was clean.
• It was just down right bad.

“Beer was warmer than the baked potato, steak was over cooked and a 8oz cut not 12oz as listed, with 3 ozs's of fat on it. Service was slow and unconcerned. It was recommended by the Hampton Inn down the street, the other recommendation was the Ruby Tuesdays, so I should have known better.”

• Cat fish is the best.
• Oysters, no good.

“Had oysters and they arrived warm on a bed of rock salt; disgusting.”

“Stopped in here on 7/4/06, had the all you can eat shrimp platter. At 13.00, was an excellent value; we were encouraged to get a 3rd order of shrimp to carry out. Didn't try the buffet, looked tasty, but we were in a seafood mood. Service was excellent. Our food did take a bit to get to us, but the refills on the shrimp were fast and hot. The waitress was quick and attentive.”
