- Best tasting sandwich with homemade French breads, awesome.
- Closed on Sundays.
“If you are headed to Beaufort or Port Royal, you have to stop and eat a sandwich, they are without a doubt, the best in the world. They are closed on Sundays, so plan for another day. Just stop in and get one to go, you will not regret it.”

- The food and atmosphere are wonderful.
- Don't expect fast service.
“The Back Porch Grille is a comfortable place to join friends, dine alone or enjoy some time together as a couple. The restaurant itself consists of the bar, the patio/porch and the deck. The deck is by far the best place to sit if it's not raining, too hot, or the bugs aren't too bad. My husband and I enjoyed lunch there one afternoon and watched the dolphins play around the boats in the marina. The food is wonderful. The menu consists of hamburgers, shrimp burgers, po-boys and salads. I'm sure there are other things on there, but I always seem to pick either the po-boy or a hamburger. The one drawback, besides if you can't sit on the deck, is the service. Do not expect an "in and out" dining experience. You will wait to be served, wait for your drinks, wait for your food, etc. But the service goes right along with the "Slow country" style.”
