• The service.
• The restroom.

“Absolutely the best place for burgers & fries and great Shag Music by the DJs. We love them all. The atmosphere is electric and the dance contagious. With indoor and outdoor dance floors the shaggin's going on from afternoon to late into the night. It is the best place on the beach.”

• Loved the bean soup that was served first wished I had the recipe.
• I had no negative experiences.

“Tar Babys is a great breakfast buffet. It's very cheap, and very close to Ocean Boulevard. Wonderful way to start the day!”

• Nothing at all did we like about this place.
• Smoky. Ungrateful arrogant owner.

“The restaurant is mostly for smokers. The non smoking area was a few tables in a hallway type area. To get to the small and cramped non smoking area my family had to walk thru the smoking area. The waitress was friendly and the food was average. The owner was an old lady with a hoarse raspy smokers voice and of course a cigarette dangling from her lip. She was condescending and arrogant. Worst dining experience we have ever had.”

• Afraid of potential problems with management.

“Our experience dining at Umbertos was very good. The service was great, the food was tasty, and portions were large for the price. The zuppa demare and the veal fradiavalo (which cannot be easily found) were excellent. The sauce for the zuppa was not oily which can be the case and the marinara on the side with the veal was light as it should be. I would come back to Umbertos again but am somewhat hesitant due to other reviews saying that management yells at customers if the food and service is questioned.”
