• Romantic, quiet, excellent. No high-chair banging children.
• A little warm, but ok.

“Most memorable meal in my 60 years. They made things we dislike taste wonderful (beets, squash, etc). Don't know what happened with previous reviewer, but they certainly didn't go to the same Sammys we went to. Everything was wonderful, including the service and hospitality. It does take awhile to eat there (very European), but we enjoyed every minute. We spent $125 (sans tip) for two full dinners (appetizer, salad/soup, entree and desert and a bottle of excellent wine. This will be an annual must on our trips to Ashland. Make a reservation two months in advance (however we scored a cancellation the day of, but don't count on that).”

• It was close to where we stayed&
• Everything else was negative.

“Wife and I love good food. We went to the cowboy bistro 2 nights ago after hearing so much about the place. The experience was, in a word, awful. Food was okay at best-- mostly tasteless. Waitress was friendly; proprietor (and wine person) was rude and downright insulting. When he recommended a wine served by the glass, I asked if we could have a taste prior to ordering a full bottle. He acted like I was out of my mind, and proclaimed with indignity "well, I'd have to open a bottle! Um, this is a wine they serve by the glass, mind you.”
