- Location.
- As previously stated, no one seems to care.
“We use place to go orders at this location, when they first opened things were great. Things have gone down hill quickly since then. Their sandwiches are almost like thrown together and your lucky if it's hot. You use to get a 1/2 of a big kosher pickle, it's now sliced into something that looks like I took out of the jar in my kitchen. They will happily charge you for a pickle plate which comes to be about the same size as the former one before they chopped it up. Often times the host will take the phone orders, each time a mistake is made, this is what the manager seems to use for an excuse. It was the host, he/she does not know our menu I'm sad that it's turned out this way as it's one of my favorite places to eat.”

- Good food.
- Terrible service.
“We had the worst service! Sunday morning waitresses are terrible. We had to get our own silverware and napkins, never gave waters to everyone as requested. It felt like we were putting her out for being there. The food is great but lately the service has been awful.”

- The booths.
- Service and bland food.
“I have had the worst service! The food was not very warm and not flavorful. I sat down and had dirty silverware and the waitress kept forgetting to bring me a clean fork after I asked for another three times! I will definitely not come back very disappointing.”

- The pastries are still delicious.
- The hot pastrami sandwich had stale rye bread, and it wasn't Jewish rye.
“Used to be a good place. The last time I was there (April, 2008) the pastrami sandwich had rye bread that was the wrong type, and stale to boot. A real disappointment. After all, there are only two parts to a great hot pastrami sandwich. The bread and the pastrami. Next time, I will take my friends to Cornball's on 23rd street in Portland.”

- Coffee was good.
- No body really seemed to care just a job.
“Just had the coldest breakfast in the land. Ham, eggs and potatoes the only thing that was warm were the eggs. Some of the potatoes still seemed refrigerated and the ham was tasty but not hot enough to be served. The butter was soft but the toast not warm enough to melt it. Not the quality of the Rose's that I knew from the old NW 23 Portland restaurant. A real shame!”
