• Location, food, desserts.
• Occasional long waits.

“Your basic friendly - good food, decent service, no surprises here, but also no disappointments. They can be slow during the busiest times- more then once we have waited over 30 minutes to appetizers, but still worth it, especially for lunch. ”

• Steaks, Wings, Ample Parking.
• Sometimes too crowded, lots of kids.

“We have been coming to the Ponderosa in Johnstown for decades. It's one of my favorite places and certainly tops in/near Johnstown. For those who have never been to a Ponderosa, they are famous for their buffet which comes with every entrance. The buffet is a meal and a half by itself, full salad bar plus chicken (all types), great wings, rice, mac and cheese, pastas, pizza, tacos, etc... And full dessert bar- jello's, ice cream, cones, cups, toppings. Some people think why waste money on an entrance when there's more than enough at the buffet- this is true - but a medium sized steak, or other entrance is only a dollar or so more then the buffet itself, and include the buffet. I always order the T-Bone, it is a delicious piece of meat, and even though it is only 1 lb, it is probably the only steak I can't finish. Service is decent, they only bring drink refills and your entrance so you don't need or see them much. Clean they do not serve alcohol but you can bring your own if you are so inclined.”
