• Food is okay, a little variety, different than McDonald.
• Cost too much for what you get.

“Good food but very expensive! They automatically added a party of 6, charged, even though the sixth one was a newborn infant. Their food is okay, but nothing you would write about anything. We so need some decent restaurants in this town!”

• Owner and staff are very personable and offer excellent service.

“Parents of cadets: Not only is Schades a great restaurant, but they will also help you take care of your cadet's birthday! I called them less than 24 hours before my cadet's birthday, and they very cheerfully took my order for the birthday special - two large pizzas, 6 drinks and a chocolate cake - to be delivered to the West Point turnaround at the time I specified for pick-up there! I was so grateful to hear that my cadet got his birthday cake (another cadet met the delivery truck and made it a surprise) that I called Schade's to thank the owner (who happened to answer the phone). We had a lovely conversation, even though I could hear how busy he was from the sounds in the background. Can you imagine that he also served my husband dinner when he was a cadet in the 70's? This wonderful family has been running the restaurant all these years! Please give them your business. You can buy gift certificates or buy credit for your cadet so he or she can eat there or order pizza - a great Christmas idea! I've eaten there several times over the past 25 years and always been very pleased with the service and the food. My thanks, once again, to a wonderful family-run restaurant!”

• Friendly service and great pizza.
• Décor.

“Best pizza by far in West Point area. You can tell they use quality ingredients. The service was very friendly and efficient. Overall decor is dated but clean. Basically take out with some indoor seating. I've tried pizza all over the NY Metro area and this is one of the best. Also really good are the gyros and dinners.”

• Food is excellent and menu has a variety of items.
• I wish that there was more room for seating. Would like to sit with more families traveling to west point.

“We were visiting our cadet at west point and found the staff at Schade's very nice and friendly. The food was very good and the portion sizes are generous. You get good value for your money here. Excellent desserts!”
