Baronis Pizza
Jul 28, 2008 by

Overall Rating: 10
- Fresh ingredients, clean and friendly, great service and atmosphere.
- A little small, but so are most New York places.
“Awesome! Best New York Pizza in Charleston. But this place is so much more than a pizzeria. They have subs, salads, pastas, appetizers, desserts, wraps, and much more. They have a signature appetizer called Baroni Rolls that are a must. It's like a piece of pepperoni pizza rolled up, deep-fried, and served with a side of sauce. Baroni's is a god-send to anyone from the North looking for a taste of home here in the South. You won't be disappointed. But, if you are, they have a money-back guarantee. I've never had to use it, but it makes me feel warm and fuzzy knowing it's there. Enjoy!”

- Fresh ice tea.
- Tables were not properly cleaned.
“I went into Piccadilly Restaurant on Mall Drive in N. Charleston, SC on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at approximately 5:00 pm for dinner. While in the serving line I asked the server what type of stuffed fish that was offered on the menu. The server said that the stuffed fish was Tilapia. I ordered the stuffed (Tilapia) along with Macaroni and Broccoli, a wheat roll, sweet tea and water. I took one bite of the stuffed fish and began to feel strange. I thought that I was just tired from shopping. After taking a second bite, my face got flushed and began to tighten. I then immediately went to the cashier to inquire as to they type of fish that was stuffed. The cashier said that it was Talapia. However, the lady from the kitchen stated that they were out of Talapia and used cat fish for the stuffed fish. Problem? I am allergic to cat fish. As my symptoms worsened I pleaded with the workers to find the manager so that I could pay my ticket and leave so that I could get some medication in my system. The manager came and changed the ticket taking off the price of the fish. This could have been a potentially fatal situation. If there is a change in the menu item, it is the restaurant's responsibility to make the public and the servers aware as to the menu change from tilapia to cat fish. My family and I have been patrons of that particular restaurant for years.”

T-Bones Of Charleston

- Fun atmosphere, loud, so it works well with kids.
- Bad food, bad service. Good deserts next door though!
“For my birthday dinner on our vacation, I couldn't decide between Seafood or Steak, so we went to T-Bones Gill and Grill. My blackened scallops were unseasoned, my medium steak was well done and once our food came, our server was like a famous Charleston ghost, she disappeared! I am an eater. I couldn't finish this steak and that my friends is a first!”

- Nice lighting.
- Service, never got food, music, service, oh and service.
“Ok, so maybe it was an "off" day, but we arrived just before 7pm and placed our orders with our non-English speaking waitress. She brought us our drinks, then seemed to forget about us for about 15 minutes. When she came back we placed our orders (this is advertised as a grill & seafood place, though the menu is quite limited on seafood & the cost is high, we had already been seated and figured we'd give it a go anyway) she took another 10 minutes before bringing our soups. Then after we finished the soup, she waited 10 more minutes before bringing out our salads. Now, this is all fine until she had stopped by for the 2nd time since picking up our salads and said "3 or 4 more minutes" on our meals. Sign after an hour of being there we still hadn't gotten our food. Finally at 8:05 (a full hour & 15 minutes after arriving) we decided to leave but couldn't find our waitress. We went to the front desk and politely explained that not only had we been there waiting on our food for an hour, but that we watched 2 other tables (one was a party of eight) get seated after us & be served before us & my boyfriend handed the manager a $20 to cover the soup, salad & drinks and we left. Oh, and please don't get me started on the Greek music that consisted of one very long song that just placed over and over!”
