The Steamer Oyster And Steakhouse Inc

- Frogmore Stew.
- Need to open in Ringgold, Georgia.
“During a business trip to Hilton Head last year, three friends and I visited Steamer for the first time. I don't care for oysters and I didn't try the steaks, but the Frogmore Stew was well worth the trip. Don't worry, no frog-meat at all. It is Steamer's own version of Low Country Boil. It was more than any one person with a very hardy appetite could eat. I highly suggest two people sharing it, unless you just want to take some home. The jumbo shrimp, smoked sausages, corns on the cob, new potatoes, and so much more all thrown into one pot, seasoned just right, and cooked to perfection were more than enough to cure any hunger. The atmosphere was perfect and the service was just right. However, if you visit the restroom, use caution when drying your hands. The jet engines they installed as blow dryers could knock the stones right out of your rings. Just kidding. But they will dry your hands rather quickly. I'll definitely go back when I'm near there.”

- Charm, atmosphere. Just a warm friendly, fun, fun, fun place to relax, especially at night.
- Service was a little slow for lunch. I guess it's to do with only one cook and one waitress. But no cared. Its a bistro.
“Great homemade daily food and the prices are very reasonable. As with most 'well kept' secrets, this is "a nice place (Para phrasing the slogan on their t shirts). A place frequented by locals, and a jewel for lucky tourists. Boy, were we lucky! Discovered it (accidentally) while walking the waterfront park. It looked quaint from the outside, and utterly charming throughout. The ceilings were festooned with dollar bills left by appreciative visitors (and sailors traditionally, Im told). We were moored at the local marina on Friday night and heard terrific music. What to our investigating surprise was Hemingways transformed courtyard into outdoor dance venue, under the stars, and packed with young and old alike having a wonderful time.”

“The food is mediocre, the service is the worst we've ever experienced and a large roach crawled across the floor and up the wall in front of us.”
