“The hospitality and service my wife and I received at Carrie's was awesome! When we arrived we had no idea what to expect since we are from Chicago and we were referred to Carrie's by a store right down the road. We were just looking for an affordable place to enjoy some fresh seafood, but after talking to a local couple that were there celebrating their 40th anniversary we knew we had to be at the right place. As we were talking to the couple, the waitress brought out 2 massive 3lb lobsters to a table and I nearly fainted, seriously. Thinking they had to easily be over $100.00 for a stuffed lobster - I had to ask the couple next to us. They said in Boston it would easily be that or more, but at Carrie's they were $48.99. At that point I knew I was getting the lobster, but we wanted to start with an appetizer. We selected the mussels and they were amazing. They came stacked high in a white wine butter sauce with a hint of garlic for under $8. My wife decided on the seafood pie which was under $18. Her pie was filled with sole, scallops, shrimp, and calms. It was just beautiful displayed and tasted incredible. My 3lb lobster was better than advertised stuffed with all the above and Carrie's special seafood stuffing. To simply put, my wife and I were highly impressed with every aspect of Carrie's Seafood Restaurant and recommend them for diners in all price ranges since it was outstanding seafood for an extremely reasonable price.”

- Quaint.
- Food and bathrooms.
“The food was fair, the atmosphere fair, the prices crazy. Go to Mill's Tavern or Gracie's and forget New Rivers! I Short ribs- the worst I ever had. The food overall lacked flavor and refinement. The lemon tart dessert was tasty but runny. I would never go back with all the other choices in Providence! I hated the small cramped space. I like cozy but this was too small.”

“Swanky restaurant without the outrageous price tag! I loved the atmosphere and dim lighting. It's definitely worth a try.”

- Food and service are horrible!
“We went to Guidos's for the first time this weekend and it was a horrible experience. We arrived at 8:30 thinking we would miss the crowd and be able to sit down and eat right away. We were seated promptly but had to wait at least a half hour for our appetizer (antipasto and garlic bread) and then had to wait another 45 minutes for our dinner! People were getting up and leaving and some were saying, "we're tired and just want to eat". The waitress (they only had one) kept blaming others for their lack of service and just didn't seem to care. The food was awful to boot! The dishes (we had chicken and veal parmesan) were loaded with garlic making it almost inedible! We are foodies and have tried a lot of places in providence. This was the worst experience we have had and feel sorry for anyone who has to go through it. Save your time and money, go somewhere else.”

- Nothing.
- Atmosphere, food, service.
“It's hard to know where to begin. Quite simply, this was the worst dining experience I have ever had. When we called for reservations, we were told that they had high chairs--but, upon our arrival they had none. Our waitress literally quit half way through the meal, leaving just ONE server for the entire restaurant. The calamari appetizer tasted like boiled noodles with a hint of fish. Our entrees were actually inedible. Not to mention, I never received my pasta that was supposed to accompany the meal. The hidden garlic bread charge was the icing on the cake. The prices were quite high, making this experience highway robbery. By the way, they don't accept credit cards--although this is not posted anywhere.”
